Here’s things I would be excited for:

  • New weapon types/skills
  • New skills
  • New traits
  • New professions

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great game and the devs have shown that they can add more game to play; I guess I’d just like to see different ways to play the game at this point.

I know I’m not nearly the only one who feels this way, but a lot of other people make these excruciatingly long posts. So here’s one that’s as to the point as possible.

Hit level eighty
Priorities, what to do?
Spend hours with dye

No offense, but whenever I see posts like this, I always think this: these people are basically asking for a new campaign like in GW1, that or they want a new game integrated into the old one. It’s natural to want more variety, but from my point of view, adding any more stuff like this will either make things redundant or be the first step towards its doom as people will expect more and more.

I can’t even think of a new profession that wouldn’t break the balance or lore of the game. New traits will require an overhaul of the current trait system, which may not be a bad thing, but could also lead to something worse. New skills may do the same, as with new weapons.

I’m getting by on my alts. learning new classes and mapping. Having fun with it but it’s not usually the way I play this type of game that’s for sure. I usually stick to a main with maybe one other “main” alt but outside re-rolling my only other option in this game is to grind out mats and gear or repeat content, not really a fan of either. PvP got stale a few months after release and hasn’t changed enough for me to merit anything but the occasional excursion back.

WvW is really the only part of the game I haven’t exhausted.

Regardless of all that 2 years after release I’m hearing more and more that people are just getting bored and LS isn’t cutting the mustard or sating such appetites. There is a great foundation here but Anet really needs to sort out this content issue.

Gamers are fickle and will move on. Divinity and re-visiting Unreal 2004 (holy crap…still pretty active) is giving me far more enjoyment than GW2 atm.

If your having adventurer problems I feel bad for you son, I dodged 99 arrows till my knee took one.

Yeah, this game is getting pretty stale. A few short living world chapters every few months isn’t going to cut it even if you count the feature patches and wvw seasons. I never thought I’d say this but I miss the living world season 1 with regular new content patches with different angles to the gameplay varying from new dungeon paths (TA Aetherpath) to world bosses (Marionette and Tequ) to SAB. I am only astounded that they didn’t make all of those permanent content.

At least they’re running out of old stuff to reassemble unless they planning another go at the things they broke O.o

Here’s things I would be excited for:

  • New weapon types/skills
  • New skills
  • New traits
  • New professions

This is what players have been predominantly asking for for at least a year.

I would be excited just to be able to not use nearly the exact same weapon (staff), traits (arcane/water) and utilities (cantrips) i’ve been using in WVW since release because nothing else is good enough to be considered an alternative.

downed state is bad for PVP

Your mistake here is posting things that would ADD FUN to the game, that’s not how Anet rolls. If you had said…

*New cash shop weapon types with no new skills attached

*Healing skills no-one uses (antitoxin) and more that afaik still suck for Necro (how many skill points again, trying to confuse the newbies again by making them think it’s not worthless?)

*Gate existing traits behind a wall, it’s fun to make what you regard as idiots try to scrabble up a wall, animal cruelty ftw.

*lol
