As you know, events no longer reward karma if they fail. I get the feeling like you added this hastily so that people won’t fail events on purpose (hint hint, invasion events) but as expected it did nothing for it. Those who wish to complete events for achievements and xp still complain in chat, and others bash and call them names, same discussion over and over again.
Even if you remove all rewards from failing events, as long as there are champions to farm, people won’t give a kitten about succeeding those specific events. Not saying you should nerf champion spawns, because at this pace of every few or more hours it’s actually not an overkill with every hourly invasion as before. But if you want people to finish events you gotta give more rewards instead of less. Or develop something completely new that will motivate people to finish it.
I’m on neither side on this one. On one hand farming those events is a great profit, on other it feels wrong for failing it. Can middle ground be achieved?
All this karma gain nerf (replacing drops of karma with ascended materials) really had me asking, are you wanting us that bad to craft ascended items? I actually liked getting karma. Even though I only used it for orrian jewel boxes I still had some use of it, unlike those materials I will never use, and I talked to many in game and they feel the same way about it.
I think you’re struggling with finding the right balance.
