I’ve seen some on my server. As for NPCs Queen Jennah looks black.

Probably in Elona.

I’ve seen black Norn too (and some female too), and Norn are close enough to human.

Elona has a black population, but at the moment they are mainly… uhhh, slaves, to this Necromancer tyrant.

I should expect a knock on the door and a lawsuit any moment now, shouldn’t I?

Got two characters that are decendents of my “elonian theif” from GW1, also black, and my previous main.

I’ve seen my share of ridiculous posts but this one is right up there.

Perhaps ArenaNet should force real world players to play more ‘black’ humans for the many years of MMO slavery.

What worries me more is why there isn’t an option to create any Jewish toons……

AIPAC is still considering my request; they said I should get a reply by the end of the Jewish year…. and then congratulated me for the Jewish new year last week.

Why are people complaining about Black or Jewish? What about a Japanese Charr?

She doesn’t.

She looks as black as Sara Palin. Which isn’t.

Wrong features, skin tone, and hair.

I have an “Elonian” human, so naturally…

Characters with an African look is a legit concern, as are Asian appearing ones – due to both Cantha and Elona being parts of the GW world, AND having, according to the lore, sizeable populations in Divinity’s Reach.

The Krytans should be a deep tan with a Polyneasian like look to them – but in GW2, they seem to have become mostly Ascalonian in look.

There are truly Krytan looking people around, and a few that look Elonan. I think I’ve seen a grand total of one NPC that could pass for a Canthan.

If only there were a race of cat faced humanoidsin real life, then balance could be restored.

Oh and dragons….

As mentioned before, Elonians are the black humans of the game. I’m sure there are some around Divinity’s Reach. But the majority of them are being tormented by Palawa Joko. I’m hoping that in a future expansion pack, we will get to journey to Elona and free them from the tyrant, just like Turai Ossa. But hopefully with lasting success.

I’ve seen some players with darker skin tones, and there are several of the common NPC models that have dark skin tones.

Lore wise there should be a few thousand of the Elonans.

The majority of people should have a skin tone that looks native Hawaiian (look at the Krytans in GW1) – though not those features.

The Order of Whispers is an Elonan order – and there have been several waves of refugees. The last of these ending 50 years ago.

Just wait for Elona. You’ll get your fill of tone variation, and will see more sand that you ever wanted to see in your entire life.

They are plants. Black wouldn’t really fit. Brown, like tree bark, would.

Yeah it would. Like the Nightmare Court. (My Sylvari is black, he looks awesome)

Why aren’t there any spirit bears in this game? all I see is black bears.

They’re in Elona.

Krytans are not black, they are mediterranean. Kryta is mostly Ascalonians, and Krytans, with a handful of Canthans and Elonians.

I do find it funny that the Norn have more black characters than the humans, and it’s a bit more out of place for them.
