What it says in the title.

I know gliding is generally disabled in vanilla JPs but I have found it randomly disabled in other areas. No, I don’t remember where. It might be that I was on the edge of a JP.

Anyway, how about something like a dot on the UI where gliding is disabled, say, on either side of the endurance bar over the skill bar?

It’s already displayed, actually. When you are in no-fly-zones, there will be an icon in your buff/debuff bar with a picture of a basic glider.

I’ve been caught out by this too, and let’s face it.. you’re not going to be watching for that little icon while you’re running around. I wish there was some other way to demonstrate when the glider will or will not open. Various conditions already have visual clues (e.g. dazed makes you wobble and has white lines spinning around you, there’s that purple haze for whatever condition that is and burning .. well, you’re basically on fire).
So it would be neat if there was some visual clue that the glider is available. I’m not sure how to visualise it though. Maybe your boots could have little wings on them ala Hermes the messenger of the gods

A simple picture of wings with a / over them and a circle around it in the corner of the screen would suffice.

Lets face it buffs/conds is a bad place for it. Heck it can be a pain sometimes trying to read the info for a certain buff on an enemy creature/boss because they constantly shift around because new conds/buffs are added to them. Of course this works the same for us as well. They really need to add place holders for conds/buffs that do NOT move but I guess that’s another topic for another thread….

When you’ve been gliding, the endurance bar is still somewhat visible until it’s fully recovered. Maybe have that show the same way, but empty or red, whenever you’re in a no-glide area?
