I could swear I’ve recently read a developer post saying directly, in simple terms, that there would indeed be a large update November 1st.
It’s now 5:00pm EST though, with absolutely no word on an update. Anyone know what’s going on?
I had thought that they were at the very least ending the Halloween event today.

They said the Halloween event would run through today, until they publish an update ‘sometime after noon pdt’.

The ‘large’ update is on the 15th.

We want to give you a heads up about Phase 4 of the Halloween event. Phase 4 will start at 9:00 AM PDT/16:00 GMT on October 31, and will run until we publish a new build on November 1 (which will be sometime after Noon PDT/19:00 GMT).

sometime after and they also are removing the orb from WvWvW so i guess thats taking them some extra time to sort out

The event ends today, the update you are thinking about is i believe the 16th.

It’s still 7 hours away from November 2nd where ArenaNet is located.

As far as dates are concerned, everything revolves around PST (server time). It’s currently 5:05 PST. I’ve heard people say 8PM PST for today’s patch, but basically Anet has up until midnight PST to implement the minor patch.
