I would like if ArenaNet would allow us to “Trade In” some of the old things we no longer need. I would love to be able to trade the 4 Permanent Copper Salvage kits I have for something else. For now all they do is sit in my bank taking up space. I have 14 shared slots so I really don’t need these now. Just a thought.

I’m not asking for a refund but allow us to trade in, no Gem or Gold transfer just trade.

A lot of people asked when the shared slots first came out and based on posts on the forum responses were pretty random. Some people got refunds, others didn’t (as far as I know no one asked for an exchange). Some were told to buy the slots and/or delete the duplicate items first, others were told they should delete them after or could keep them. Some were told only certain items (mainly the Royal Terrace and Airship pass) could be refunded and others could not.

They may have sorted a consistent response out by now, but you’ll have to ask them to find out what that is.

Warning, it will depend on how long you’d used the extra items before the shared slots became available, and this much later odds are Support will deem that you got your intended use and benefit out of them and cannot be refunded.

If that be the case I guarantee they will not refund. Would be nice to allow trade in on other comparable priced items. I paid 800 Gems for each. Still use one plus the silver one so I’ve actually purchased 6 total…..

Oh well would be nice if they did do something to help players……

I have 9 copper fed kits as part of my project to make 9 completely maximized characters (160 inventory, full ascended, a copper fed and 3 perm tools for each profession)

I have 16 characters so my choice is to put 1 copper fed in a shared slot (and 8 in the bank) and let all my characters have access, or just keep them in the inventory of my 9 main characters and let my 7 alts deal with it.

Neither is really optimal.

Why not let us trade the copper fed kits in for Black Lion Tickets or something?

A trade-in system would be nice, trade one item for another of the same or less value (or even more but you’ll have to add extra gems).
For instance, when the first unlimited tools came out, I bought 3 of each. Then a new (unique) set came out. I’d have exchanged one of my first set for a new one if I could have…

+ for exchange system. I, like others here, have x 10 of everything, 10 sets of perma tools 10 copper salvage kits etc. really painful to destroy and just as painful to keep them. That’s $100’s of dollars worth of real money i spent on the gem store, on top of that all the shared inv slots, so plz give us some kind of return for our money ty.
