Guild Wars 2

So I bought GW2 now and I have a friend at the Blackgate server, however this server is always full, and I understood that “Full” means full of accounts with chars linked to that server.
So I think there is no hope for me to enter that server.
What are the most populated servers now? (except the 4 ones that are always full, DB, BG, TC and JQ.)
And if I visit my friend in another server can I still go pvp, pve, wvw?

if you guest to your friends server, you can sPvP, PvE together with your friend.
to do WvW together, both of you must be in the same server.

do u have a specific time zone requirement when choosing a server?
some servers have more oceanic players than others.

for example, sea of sorrows has more oceanic players.

You can still guest over to Blackgate and play pve and pvp but not wvw. Out of all the non-full servers, there is no way to tell which ones have a larger overall population over the other. The majority of them are “very high” so pick and choose which one you want. Some servers have particular non-NA communities though.

If you are looking for a specific timezone:
NA: any
Oceanic: FA, SoR, SoS
Asian: SoR, DB (mainly Chinese communities)

Full is not accounts only.. it is actual people playing. I think that maybe guesting counts though and that is why you never see them dip down any more. Before guesting you would have a shot early hours.. but you can guest on full servers, so I think that is why they do not dip anymore.

Thank you for the responses, I am from Brazil, so I should avoid oceanic/asian time zones and try to join a server with East Coast players.

If only South America had enough players to have a brazilian server, like League of Legends.
