So, I just came back to GW2 recently after a long break. I read the awesome upgrade boosters were getting and I was impressed. But, why the decision to not change our current boosters into these ones that are actually useful?

Back in the day I spent a lot of dough in the BLTC so I have tons of the old useless boosters I would love to trade for these new ones. Heck I’d even go 2 for 1 if that was possible through the mystical toilet.

Maybe I just don’t know about a process of upgrading these to the current ones? Or is this just an obvious cash grab because they know everyone has a bank full of the kittenty ones and if they transferred them into these new useful boosters that could equal lost revenue? I honestly can’t think of another reason not to upgrade these automatically.

I have like 30 experience boosters and my characters are all level 80, I’d love to be able to use that towards my reward tracks in pvp, because that’s the only game mode I care about.

Cash grab seems obvious, Am I missing something?

Talk to a Black Lion Trader (Armorsmith). They will convert your boosters into Enchanted Combat Boost or Enchanted Reward Boost which have the option of selecting the new booster types.

But don’t convert any karma boosters you have. You can no longer select those from lists.

I’d just really love if the old boosters gave the same amount of time… but they give 20m instead of 2 HOURS… that’s ridiculous.

One word: gemstore

They want to sell the new boosters to you, not have you get them for “free” by changing old boosters. The new boosters are only teasers so you can try before you buy.
