So I was roaming around the farm at the Stronghold of Ebonhawke and randomly shot a chicken and ooh boy I didn’t expect it to be OP because these chicken don’t die! they only multiply ! is this some bug or some thanksgiving joke?

It’s an easter egg, and a legend of zelda reference. So, yes, kind of a joke.

Consider it revenge for that chicken sandwich you ate earlier.

It’s deliberate and been that way since launch. They chased me and two other people out of town back then when one of us shot a chicken.

They can be killed, by enough people with enough time to spend. But people new to Ebonhawke need to be warned “do not annoy the chickens.”

Maybe it should be Ebonchickenne.

I remember hanging out in Ebonhawked alot prior to Royal Terrace having a permanent pass because it used ot have bank, guild bank and tp npc right next to each other, so you didnt have to move at all in order to access any of those services.

Unfortunately, Scarlet used to spawn there as well when an Invasion was happening on that map and she downed me in a couple of shots.

That place is cursed, i tell you.

I managed to solo a chicken. Its quite easy. Play a MM Necro with Lifesteal traits.

You need to fight them on Elementalist. Use an AoE water skill and then bomb them with a bag of flour and seasoning combo’d with a fire AoE and you’ll have crispy delicious nomz.

Just watch out for that one bunny in brisban while you’re at it.

Chickens are actually notorious cannibals IRL.

They aren’t Zelda Easter eggs. They are TerminatorChickens. They don’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead. (Or take off running).

These are special chicken. Bio-engineered for the war with charr. The wide scale deployment has been postponed due to the peace treaty and unpredictability of this weapon once released in the wild. But as last resort it can still be deployed. Beware, Elder Dragons – if things get sufficiently bad, the menace WILL be unleashed and the world will bow before the new chicken overlords.

Got a friend killed the one time after telling him to attack the chickens haha.

You can kill them but it’ll take a long time and they don’t give xp or loot. They are completely soloable with guardian hammer.
