So Anet just posted this to Facebook/twitter. I didn’t see it here, so I figured I would post it for those that don’t have access.

Most on Facebook were saying it was a Mesmer with a shield, so possible info on the Mesmer specialization?

Well, the Mesmer special is not Druid, nor is it the Revenant special, so that seems like a fair guess.

It’s no more info than what already existed for the mesmer elite specialization. A mesmer was shown using a shield in the HoT announcement cutscene.

I wasn’t aware of that. Then again, I don’t go over everything with a fine-tooth comb. Just sharing the pic.

It could be a sign Mesmer is the first class being detailed.

At the end of the SAS they said they would reveal an elite specialization at the next PoI. It seems reasonable to say this is identifying the Mesmer as that reveal.

It would be interesting if they did the Elite Specializations in reverse order that they announced the classes to begin with. Wasn’t Mesmer the last one they confirmed as a class prior to launch?
