Oceanic Elder Dragon Identity Confirmed...

Aw man, looks like I am switching to the other side. If he’s on the other side they must be doing something right.
De Mortuis Nil Nisi Bonum.

Great we can start the “Cult of Bubbles” together.

As long as none of the ranks are named after his son then deal.
De Mortuis Nil Nisi Bonum.
Course we probably also have to have some agreement in TS that people will not talk in the native tongue else we will blow each other’s ear drums out (not to mention neighbors calling the police about animal abuse issues).

And here I was hoping for a bunyip/taniwha reference…
(We can’t have oceanic servers, but oceanic elder dragons on the other hand….)
We know his name starts with an “S”.
Therefore it’s pretty obvious his name is Scuba Steve.

The Children of the Lizard God are now very sad…can we at least name them after lesser monsters/kaiju?
Although I suppose the alternative would be to come up with a name for corrupted minions. Like “the bubbled” or “seafoam”.

Obviously the Elder dragon keeps eating the Server.

Who?

Actually we found him a few hours before…
It’s “Gojira”, not “Godzilla”.
“Gojira” is a portmanteau of “gorira” (gorilla) and “kujira” (whale).
So if you still wanted to translate the name to English even though translating names is something nobody should ever do under any circumstance, it’ll be “Goriwhale” or “Whalerilla”.
This reminds me of this too: it’s not “It’s over 9000”, but"It’s higher than 8000".
And the “angry german kid”? It was a kid acting, not a hidden camera.
And vikings didn’t have horns on their helmets! That would be stupid! That’ll be like “grab and decapitate” easy handles for the head"!
And cracking your knuckles won’t cause arthritis!
And a duck’s quack does echo!
And the list goes on an on!
What the hell is this? Stupid popular culture and its lies, inexactitudes and miscommunications…
Anyways, everyone knows that the deep sea dragon is called “Señor Bubbles”, has a sombrero and sings mariachi.

I thought Bubbles died trying to keep ships from wrecking on the reef in old Lion’s Arch or something like that..
And here I thought the sea dragon was actually Dagon, the Deep One, and his corrupted minions were the Innsmouth horrors….

The window! The window!
This explains so much and so little.
I’m holding out for Shoop da Whoop. What this game needs is a laser breathing dragon and its laser breathing minions.
Pictures below:
Shoop da whoop firing upon a pack submarine and Shoop da Whoop corrupted minions we must fight to save the world.

Let’s see, he lives under the sea…
We know his name starts with an “S”.
And he’s got The Dreamer! Be afraid, be VERY AFRAID!
Save the Bell Choir activity!
And now I suddenly have “Under The Sea” stuck in my head.
Thank you….so much. When we finally get around to kill this dragon, I am setting that song up as his theme music.

Sâmbuca Steve :O

Whew. For a second there I thought that was going to lead to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTItRfN-LO8 and make me remember Godzooky.

Now, pronounce “gojira” as a Japanese would, remembering that the “o” is long, “j” has a “z” sound, the “i” is short, and “r” has an sound something like a mix of “l” and “d”. Sounds remarkably like “Godzilla”, does it not? Certainly an English speaker unfamiliar with Japanese could be forgiven for hearing it that way and writing it phonetically. The same English speaker trying to pronounce “gojira” is going to pronounce it something like “go-jeer-ah”, which is WAY out of line.

Not quite. The “j” sound isn’t a “zh” sound, it’s more like the “g” sound in the word “Genie.” The “i” in Japanese is pronounced as a long “e” in English, like “evil” not the “ih” sound like in “if.” It actually is pronounced “go-jeer-ah” but the emphasis is on the first syllable, “GO-jeer-ah,” rather than the second, “go-JEER-ah” which is the most common mistake English speakers make when pronouncing Japanese words (yes, I know Japanese is technically a “flat” language without emphasis on any syllable but those rules go right out the window when waeigo is involved).

Don’t be silly! Those are just his Champions! Heralds of his awesome bubbliness.

Honestly at this point when the dragon is released I’m going to put out an edited version of the trailer linked to the Spongebob Opening Theme.
I just realized actually….bubbles….name starts with an S…..SUDS! SUDSILIUS!

Forget Spongebob, it’s Squidward! He likely started working with Plankton to eliminate Spongebob. Plankton is likely planning on getting the krabby patty secret formula during the process.
Squidward is willing to destroy the world to get rid of Spongebob. Plankton is willing to destroy the world to rule it.

That’s Ascended Cooking confirmed then.
