So please don’t burn yourself out as I once did, because we, the community, need your light to continue to shine as we pass through these dark days.

((I may vent, but you Gaile Gray have been a shining example of hard work. I just wish we had five more of you instead of you trying to do it all. Yes there are others behind the scenes but you have braved the pitchforks and torches from the community with much grace. /hats off to you))

This comes off as kind of creepy to me…. Just saying. I get the intent but the delivery is a bit borderline creepy. ^^;

It’s not bad. It’s not as good as the Vorgon poem, “Ode To A Small Lump Of Green Putty I Found In My Armpit One Midsummer Morning” by Grunthos the Flatulent, but he was inspired.

Can you fix the title? It’s “Ode”. The current spelling you have there is just … odd(e).

Yeah, no. Personally I find it hard to accept the quality of character of someone who’s been specifically tasked with placating and handling me on an emotional level. What Gaile does isn’t necessarily because she’s a good person. She does what she does because it is her job to manipulate the community into trusting and liking her. There’s a difference between being warmly welcomed, and dealing with someone who’s job is to make it feel like you’re warmly welcomed.

It’s like when you start to think of your psychiatrist as a friend. They’re not your friend, its their job.

Unless of course they like their job and chose the profession for a certain reason.

Ya know I kinda wondered about that creepy thing after I wrote it, but I thought nah I wrapped it with enough good intention in the end.

As far as a threat goes I’m a 51 year old woman that hobbles around with a cane thanks to a life changing back injury…I say at the very least Gray could out run me smirks.

I’ve done a great deal of back reading on these forums since I’ve been here. They are very telling, and yes I feel my praise is well placed. I’ve also had strong criticism over many of the changes to the game but I also understand how thankless it can be standing between a community and development.

So in a sincere way I wanted Gray to know that someone who may be critical of some of the changes like myself still recognises, and appreciates the 110% they (Gray) put into this game and community. Paycheck or no paycheck its a tough job with a lot of pressure from many sides and burnout is not uncommon. However I didn’t mean to pull a Egar Allen out of my hip pocket by doing so :S…

The chorus is actually a play on stepping back, take a breath, and don’t stress it.

The brony.jpg is actually creepier though. :| Nothing is more cringe than that fandom.
