Still no update on Zojja. Still disappointed by this. When will Anet address this?

Story peaked too quickly at the beginning and the end before ending abruptly. Was hoping for more after the end.

Map is like Tangled Depths but as bad if not worse to navigate. I can’t believe I’m saying there’s a map that’s as bad or worse to navigate than Tangled Depths. This is now my least favorite map.

Playing GW2 for the story is like expecting plot in a porno. You’ll be left disappointed.

Best map yet – really good fun to explore, really unique and in places gorgeous (I love the boiling waves when you first enter and the way the terrain changes from alien to sweeping rock structures). The mastery works well for the map, but feels like a one shot thing rather than something to develop on, which seems wasteful.

Story has plenty of intrigue, but suffers from having a reveal just because it generates speculation, not because it makes sense. The identity of Lazarus could have been handled in many other ways (see lore/LW forums) – this just felt like shock for the sake of shock. The advancement of the story however lends itself to a lot of exciting opportunities, but continuity needs to hold together a lot better.

New currency – depositable. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Final instance was fantastic. I loved the mechanics, but I loved the setting and seeing who we saw looming large for the first time was breathtaking. Targeting reticles need more clarity in a fight with such chaos though, especially as some of the instructions on the UI and Taimi’s dialogue conflicted. Ending was abrupt though and didn’t set up the next episode, which is odd for a penultimate.

Overall, not as tightly plotted as Ep4 and went for shock factor over the right way to tell this story, but the blockbuster fight and the exceptional map kept it on track.

Loved it

Only just started, but wanted to point out: I get the idea of changing the story intro from an e-mail to an interaction, but if you don’t have sound on, or don’t know what to expect, it’s going to be easy for a lot of people to miss the initial introduction to the story after clicking on play this episode. Not that it won’t happen once for each character. It’s a good idea, I like the no-e-mail, but… perhaps have a location to go to for the next one, in order to kick it off.

The map is cool, but I am disappointed over how the water is just for show….since it just kills you when you go into it. Would have loved some underwater content and I’m sure many others would’ve as well. Please give us some underwater content soon, It doesn’t have to be significant amount, a little here and there would be enough.

Fantastic patch overall, but I do have one sharp criticism.

Given the revel of “Lazurus,” there really should have been different dialogue between each race. That would have been the perfect moment to show human awe or charr hostility, for example, and it just got ignored.

Really cool story, balthazar has been clearly “demoted” by someone, we saw his face, we’re still not blind (we should), and he seems extremely weak on the first instance

However, humans blessed by balthazar in their lore, literally saying “balthazar u no good ?!? me kill you” that’s some huge story telling

Slightly disappointed with the reveal of lazarus. As mentioned, a human reaction should have been different from a char reaction. Big B no longer caring for humanity is also a big break from the lore on the whole relationship between big b and the humans.

Gameplay wise it’s good. Story and lorewise, from a gw1 day 1 vet… It’s jarring and feels like a mess.

Fantastic episode!

Yeah the story was bit short and maybe not fleshed out to the max but I loved how the instances themselves worked. They were interesting and engaging and we got to do things we havent done before!

The reveal was something rather expected, but intriguing.

New map is gorgeous!

Overall I liked it. This episode felt a little shorter to me than the first 4 did, but also the map seems much larger as well, so I guess that’s a bit of a tradeoff we got.
I won’t go into any details about the story. I’ll just say that I actually really like Lazarus’s identity! I am though a bit sad about the conclusion of this episode, I hope that these characters aren’t finished storywise, I think they should make a comeback. Because if this is it for those characters involved, it just seems pretty weak for me.
For the map, well I love it! Enough complexity to be fun, nothing on TD levels. I like the wide variety of enemies in it. I like the wide variety of landscapes in it. I think the treasure mushroom event spawns a few too many mushrooms for my liking, but then again they are some of teh enemies I hate dealing with the most in this game so not surprising. The new mastery is really cool, and I’m excited to use it! Overall a really good map in my opinion.

I liked the map, I was kinda lost at first but I figured it out eventually. It’s really pretty though.

Very cool reveal with the big B, the humans gods are something that I have been hoping would return to GW2 since I find them interesting. I noticed some idle npc chatter and it makes sense that with his return it would throw the humans into a morality issue which can make some interesting story later if we have to deal with the rest of the six. I’ve had a lot of theories about whats been up with them but I never expected that we would actually fight one over killing an elder dragon.

Although I will admit that its odd to see Balthy not caring about killing the humans in this, but I suppose a lot changes in 250 years or so. I can also see it being that hes desperate to get his power back hence his line when you destroy the machine(Which makes me think we aren’t done with him yet). All in all, i’m looking forward to seeing what happens next episode after that reveal.

This episode was the best so far. The map looks fantastic and it is very complex like verdant brink wich i love, this really made me have more faith in the developers since i tought you will stick with silly boring maps after Hot.
The new mastery is really one of the best mastery we got after the gliding and it will be a waist if we see it only in this map or future ones. It would help a lot in the hot maps and in vanilla will be fun to use it.
Story was fun and the plot was real, but short like the other episodes.
I haven’t done all the events and i don’t know if there is a meta on the map, but it seems that it requieres less people to complete them. It would be better if the boss hp and difficulty scales with the number of players that partecipate, this will make the game even greater.
The only thing that i dislike is the new ’’legendary’’ torch. Just wtf are you guys thinking over there to make a cake a legendary weapon?? Enough with this joke of designes, this skin wouldn’t sell even on the black lion trade for less than 400gems so why make it a legendary where people litterily works in the game to farm all the mats to make one and we get this thing . Do you guys don’t have a bit of imagination to make something decent for a legendary ?
Also good job, the season 3 currency now can be deposited. I still hope to see the same for the hot keys and why not silverwaysted as well. Life hacks like this are well accepted by the community.
Thx very very much for the new episode and i expect much more in the future from anet. Also i will try to maintain my HYPEEEEEEE!!!!

Please share your high-level feedback (75 words or fewer) on Episode 5.

Thanks so much!

75 words or fewer (obvious: spoilers for this episode):

  • fantastic map design, might be best worldbuilding in the industry
  • story that was there was well done. (also well-done, volcano, amirite)
  • obviously stretching out the tiny bit of story by running around to shrines all over map
  • Idk if it was supposed to be a surprise to the player that we couldn’t kill more elder dragons or just the characters, but players have known this for years now….
  • scavenger hunts are fun, but aren’t really content.

longer than 78 words for elaboration if desired:

  • The quality is great for story, but seriously, a half-day of gameplay every 3 months isn’t really going to retain your playerbase. If you need to dial back quality so that we have stuff to do, you probably should.
  • Building on the last point, scavenger hunts are fun sometimes, I guess. But seriously, 60 stupid fragments of rock is asinine and zinn recordings and druid flowers and Whispers spying and and and….stuff gets really old, and it isn’t actually content. It’s filler with zero payoff. I know I don’t have to do it, as many might say. But if I don’t do this, there really, really isn’t much meat on the patch.
  • Your worldbuilders are bonkers. This may be the best level design I’ve seen in any game I’ve ever played. Tap dancing christmas it’s gorgeous. Your VO directors are killing it, and loved the performances in villain/npc/character chatter.

Story too short.
Anti-climatic ending where you figure out nothing. Everybody goes MIA. Kas spends 5 minutes saying how she and Jory are ‘a team’ and then bails when she is wounded and everyone needs her.
Taimi still rocks. Balthazar plot was uninteresting. Seeing Primordius but knowing you won’t fight him is lame. We were so hyped for fighting Prim and Jormag and now it’s taken away.
And most of all: Can we actually get a team again? Sick of everyone on some silly drama when the world is ending and then having the shortest interactions with one or two characters in a whole episode. C’mon we wait 3 months for this.

As far as the Map goes, it’s cool but too deadly and annoying too walk around like Tangled Depths (at least without mastery). Could benefit from another waypoint, especially to reach bosses fast. Mastery really cool but the map punishes you when you don’t have it.

The map is great. At last complexity and verticality returns, ever more glorious with that vine mastery. I hope that we will see those vines on some new maps as well, so much fun it is to use them. Best map in LS3

The story. Huge disappointment. In short: no logic, bad reveal, anticlimactic Primordus meeting, too fast pacing.

First thing, Taimi’s deus ex machina. I am not a fan of that “artifact/device that can kill The Great Evil with one hit” plot points. They are weak and unoriginal. And Anet put an actual god on top of that machine (yo daug, I heard you like deus ex machina…)

Speaking of gods. That “Lazarus” reveal was awfull. It was bad as plot twist, as it was predicted months ago by a cliffhanger and a week ago by a trailer. After all that I would be really surprised if Lazarus was actually Lazarus.
It was bad logic-wise. Balthazar disguised himself as someome completely untrustworthy, we didn’t trust him, uncovered his identity and ruined his plans (yet only partially). Big shockers, thats why anyone with half a brain does not gisguise as a bad guy, a-ha. That just makes no sence. Balthazar could impersonate someone more trustworthy, and his plan would not fail as he did. He could reveal his true self to Jennah and gain support of Kryta.

Other side effect if Lazarus reveal: Lazarus character was just flashed down the toilet. All that build up for nothing. All the potential of villian, deceptive and cunning, tricking us to thinking that he is a good guy. Or maybe he is really a good guy and seeking redemption? Crazy mind games and uncertanty – everything Scarlet or elder dragons lack as antagonists (and Balthazar too, as he stated that he is ok with blowing up Tiria just to gain his power again). Well, looks like we will never have anything like that. Oh poor Lazarus, I knew him, Horasio.

To the next one. Anti-climactic meating with Elder dragon. One roar, a nose and a jaw in lava, none of interaction. That is all of Primordus we will ever see in GW2, guys. Move along. And, by the way, we might not even see a part of Jormag, cause he is sleepy right now. But cross your fingers for GW3, maybe we will be shown i tip of Jormag’s tail there.

The last one: the pacing. Too much kitten comes too fast in this episode, making it even more confusing.

It is a strange thing, how every previous episode had a “meh” map and a great story, and this one has a great map and a bad story.

Good story. Nice unique map. Not a fan of the medium Legendary armor, hoped it would have been more appropriate (stealthy design and form fitting, as opposed to looking like battle mage armor) for the Adventurer profession. The “Flame of War” gothic candle holder is not impressive.

I’m feeling that the medium armor main peeps would enjoy designs like these… 1st pic would be the pre transformation, and the last 2 would be the combat form. Stuff like that.

Nice work dev team.

  • Story: Overall really enjoyed it. As others have mentioned it really would have been good to have the player character react differently to the reveal based on their race. Aside from that though it was a good piece of storytelling.
  • Currency: Thank you for making orchids, wood, rubies, etc. depositable!
  • Map: Loving the new map. Of all the newer maps, the ones that had the most mobility were my favorites. The new map has well-positioned thermal tubes, updrafts, and a few waypoints and overall once you know the map you can get where you want to go fairly quickly. Thank you for that.
  • Mastery: The vine mastery is a lot of fun. I like being able to use it to explore upward. Only wish it had more than 3 charges!

The map is probably the best one we had for a Living world map, I would go even to say its close to HoT released maps only thing missing is a bunch of extra events and speaking of this, this has been a trend and I do hope all these living world maps will get some extra events or maybe a proper meta chain event, something that needs a bit more coordination instead of just needing a zerg.

I like that every map you give us a new mechanic that is present just in that map, and the one we just got its probably the most fun out of them all. Regarding the map masteries wish they were a bit harder to get, this may be an unpopular opinion but the way I see it,you go in, you don’t even get to explore the entire map but you already have the mastery, one of the worst decisions you guys made at the launch of HoT’s was nerfing what masteries used to stand for, nerfing poison HP’s and things like that, it was that extra shiny that you had to work for and feel good about it when you finally got it, this is what this map and others since HoT launch miss, its ok to time gate things, other games do it, why can’t you guys?

I feel you guys keep getting better and better at stories but personally I feel these updates need some sort of cinematic shots at least at the end to make us feel more connected to the characters, make them feel more epic, not just some npc talking.

Lack of rewards, again, been a trend with since for ever but a bit more armor pieces or something every patch won’t be a bad idea, getting bags that reward kittenty gear or mastery points at this time seem very bad choices, I liked that I got 2 mystic clovers from a bag, that was a nice reward, more like that, if I spend a few days or hours working for something i wish I get something worth my time.

I understand that you guys need to make a balance and put stuff in the BLTC to sustain the game, I am all up for that as long as its not ridiculous, its a bit frustrating that for example most gliders are only available to be bought with gems there is no alternative to get them in some more interesting way. An idea would be maybe pay 700 gems for glider or pay 200 to unlock a collection that has some gold/material sync to get the glider.

I think I should stop now, getting a bit off the track but and addressing general problems, but to sum it up, great patch all around, good job and thank you, looking forward to the next one.

Map Design – Good. Simple enough to just run for story, but complex enough for explorers to get a few rounds of excitement in.

Narrative – Bad. Deus Ex Machina’s abound and it’s literal Deus Ex Machina’s at that. For the story to jump the shark that hard with no build up is really unfulfilling as a player. My personal opinion is that this whole sequence of events starting back at episode 3 really needed to be expanded into probably double the episodes we have covering it.

Gameplay – Combat gets a pass, nothing innovative or extremely noteworthy. The targeting reptiles recolor is a decent touch i guess.

Mastery – Probably the most fun i’ve had with one just due to the sheer freedom of movement.

AMA’s – Still don’t see why this is happening the day of the patch instead of perhaps on a friday, infront of twitch chat……

Map: Good, but too confusing at first. Relies a bit too much on old masteries for travel, punishing ones jumping in late.

Story: No racial script changes? And you’ll never address the fallout that should happen. Pity.

Combat: The two big fights were overly cluttered, making it easy to lose a target. Otherwise, fun. Good extra skill use.

Other: New tonic is awesome, thank you! New mastery is fun, just make sure it appears outside of this zone, now.

I like the story. And the map is pretty! The Fire Islands are greener than they were 250ish years ago. Unfortunately it’s all downhill from there. The map was a pain to navigate and the enemies are spaced out JUST enough to keep me constantly tagged in combat, but not close enough together to deal with them in any timely manner. Because a map shouldn’t just be tedious, it should be painfully slow and tedious. The best kind of tedious!

I mean, overall I liked the new chapter, but I’m not digging the layout of the map.

Oh, forgot something! Why no juvenile animals on the map? There were plenty of places it would have made sense for a few to show up, but… nope! As someone that sometimes plays a ranger, it’s annoying. As someone that understands how life cycles work, it’s immersion breaking.

Agree with everyone about the aesthetics of the map. I was concerned it would be another Ember Bay, all dark and gloomy.

It is hard to navigate but will become much easier in time. I think for the future, maps like this are probably not the best ones to incorporate a big meta in. They should be saved for the Lake Doric/Ember Bay/Bitterfrost maps with little verticality that everyone can get to easily. Granted Bitterfrost has a meta, but it’s more of just a multi-champ train than one large champ

As far as the story goes, it was very fast-paced. Too fast-paced, with the exception of the stalling of the story to grind spiders and then proceed to talk to the druids. I feel like that whole part of the story seemed rather random anyway though. Perhaps that will play a larger role in the plot moving forward.

It’s rather hard to tell what the plot is going forward though, and that’s part of the problem with the Lazarus reveal. There aren’t any clues leading up to it, and frankly I’m not quite sure how people on the forums or someone like Woodenpotatoes would have reached that conclusion. Sure, a human god, maybe, but the particular one they chose? How did they pinpoint it to that? I must have missed some serious hints in the story other than the repetitive fire puns in the teaser of this episode.

All in all, I think despite the lack of build-up for the real identity of Lazarus and even the anti-climactic conclusion to the current Primordus and Jormag story, I would have been happy if there had been other areas of this patch to explore. It sounds entitled, I’m sure, but I was kind of expecting a fractal, some balance changes/wvw adjustments to go along with the patch. Not just, 2 instances and a story that takes about an hour to complete, and a new map.

Not trying to be too critical, but for it being at the end of the 2-3 month timeframe and with the post about wanting to get things just right because of how important the episode was, it still seemed pretty rushed in areas that may have done more harm than good.

All of that being said, it is a beautiful map though. I guess I might get more enjoyment out of all of this if I were a raider and sought after the legendary armor.

I didn’t do any map events and just went for the story the first time, so this will be short:
- Compared to other HoT maps, map movement felt somehow quite slow, despite 33% movement speed
- the story felt much shorter but Taimi was great as always. I’m sorry but the Lazarus reveal left no real impact for me.
- The final story instance was okay but the required flight phase with the constant updraft felt really slow and tedious with landing > back in the air to pick the anomaly up > rinse & repeat.
- The boss fight was okay. The burning was at times harsh but landing on the device as a (intended?) safe zone helped here.
- The PCs dialogues are getting a bit awkward when he/she’s talking with the “team”. All the stuttering and too careful choice of wording are rather contra-productive to get the message across.
- I agree with ArchonWing: It was rather funny to get the achievement for dieing in the sulfured water

I actually had to stop playing the game for the night because of how this episode ended. It was really disappointing. To hear two of the big bads were put back to sleep and that’s probably the best course of action, has me fearing those stories are done now. Zhaitan had more personality than the two we met.
I did a lot of aimless wandering of the map trying to find where the apex was when it was just a big green circle. I explored most of the map trying to get there, and earned the mastery, which now appears is not needed to get there.
I like the maps mix of fauna, hearts and events. There does seem to be a lot to do in it.
With the story done though, we’re just going to ignore the spirit who told us to leave, and farm the map forever more? Seems a silly thing to tell the player.
I’m feeling like it’s a 2 out of 5 stars.

One thing I can give feedback on that I hope will change soon™ is the Oakheart’s Reach ability to become a special action key instead of replacing your weapon. It would make traversing the new map much more fluid so the player does not have to drop it to engage in combat.

Kudos on the map, making most of it accessible with previous masteries (standard gliding and thermal tube) while having it open completely up once the new mastery has been unlocked.

This mastery and its use with the map truly feels like horizontal progression in terms of what was mentioned back when Heart of Thorns was being hyped up and referencing games such as Metroid and Zelda.

I just hope it will find its way as a true mastery rather than being available only in this map. As with gliding, zip-lining with Oakheart’s Reach would open up a new way of traveling, even if that access was limited to Heart of Thorn and LS3 maps.

Story could’ve been better. The overall story was too short.

It’s nice to see a M.O.X. again for those who played GW1, but it makes you wonder the fate of our original hero. I hope they continue adding more story to M.O.X.

Map was okay, but it feels like Ember bay, Bloodstone fen and heart of thorns map combined. Just looks and feels complicated to navigate. Hoping for a better and simple map in the next story. The Lake Doric map was much nicer.

The Lazarus story could’ve been better if he was revealed as a character familiar with the past Living Story event or the primary story. I’d be more surprised if Lazarus was really Lord Faren. I’m wondering if more gods are wandering Tyria. What’s next Jenna and Anise is really Lyssa?

Please continue adding more GW1 characters back in the story, it is truly amazing to see a familiar face again.

The story could’ve been better if it was a bit longer. The overall story was too short.

It’s nice to see a M.O.X. again for those who played GW1, but it makes you wonder of the fate of our original hero. I hope they continue adding more story to M.O.X.

Map was okay, but it feels like Ember bay, Bloodstone fen and heart of thorns map combined. Just looks and feels complicated to navigate. Hoping for a better and simple map in the next story. The Lake Doric map was much nicer.

The Lazarus story could’ve been better if he was revealed as a character from the past Living Story event or the primary story. I’d be more surprised if Lazarus was really Lord Faren.

I’m wondering if there are more gods are wandering Tyria. What’s next Jenna and Anise is really Lyssa. The Pale Tree is really Melandru.

Please continue adding more GW1 characters back in the story, it is truly amazing to see a familiar face again.

Hi Anet,

Thank you for the work you put in. I rate today’s episode 3/10 sadly. I am long time GW1 player and every campaign was in depth and good. LW S3 story is very rushed. Each episode jumping from one major enemy to a different one and doesn’t flow. It is like a good 500 page book consolidated to a 30 minute show. Please make campaigns like you did in GW1. Did not like the way Jormag and Primordus were “defeated”. Fire Islands could have been a mini campaign instead 2 maps that probably won’t visit again. Episode 5 was fun and enjoyed it. New map per episode is appreciated, wish more of a campaign style storyline with missions worth repeating (think more like challenging instanced GW1 mission). I personally don’t like gen 2 legendary torch, also rate 3/10 won’t make, again sadly. Thanks for your time and effort and enjoy the nice Seattle spring we are having!

These vertical map thingie, that forces players to do jumping puzzles, is getting out of hand. If people want to explore the map, by jumping like spiders, for seeking PoIs and masteries… I’m ok with that, everyone is free to enjoy what they love the most. However, gating the LS behind JPs, no. No, really, don’t do it. I don’t want to spend 3 hours seeking to reach the next story step for just few second of text or 30 seconds of cinematic.

AWESOME! I liked the pace of the story and all the new possibilities.

Thank you for putting the dragons to sleep, bringing the gods back AND bringing M.O.X. back. This is so great! Is there going to be a God battle in the future? I got to go back and pay more attention to what B said. I get a feeling there are clues in there.

Great job ANET and thank you!!

Hey Anet!
First off – Thank you for your amazing work!

Let’s be short:
1. New mastery – amazing. Nice fit with gliding! I think it’s my favourite of all ls3 (tho I consider all LS3 masteries great, far better than half of basic expansion ones)

2. Map is very good in terms of design, size and layering, I have no problem with navigation.

3. Story is kind of veird. To short to flesh the plot twist enough. Dunno if I like or dislike it. For sure I LOVE the last instance boss fight. The climax after it was… meh. Such a big change in plot from a small ammount of story points in episode.

Please read this:
The problem I see and I hope you’ll avoid for next expansion is: you tend to go into one direction with world maps. HoT introduced 4 meta event maps and people complained cus it was only one-way of handling things. Now you introduce ls3 maps with no big meta events because you (probably?) want to compensate.

Why not have both? I mean please consider making each type of map for launch content, and then also with LWS – some maps exploration-mode, and some maps meta-mode. It’s quite boring to have only one type of maps in a row.

Don’t get me wrong – I love all of them. But – my personal opinion ofc – it would be way more interesting if you mixed them. This would also add more replayability to maps in LWS as for now I start to feel some of lws3 maps I won’t visit at all as it’s too much to farm nodes on all 5 maps each day.

I was a huge fan of the maps released this living world season. This one, however, is the exception. The story is great, but it’s not a lot of fun when 90% of your time is spend not knowing where to go to continue it. I get that the insane amounts of hills and layers is supposed to try to get us to explore, but by leaving so few ways to get around it just doesn’t work. I don’t even know if my sanity can handle finishing the great story coming along with this update.
I also feel like because of how crazy difficult it is to get anywhere I am actually missing out on so much content. On the other maps because I know where I’m going, I have no problem with stopping and trying out the events or content in the area. But on this map I don’t have time for it because I need to spend all my time just trying to get up the same mountain dozens of times.

I’ve really been loving this living world series. But please avoid making these maps that are so difficult to explore and take in, it really ruins the fun of the great content going along with it and demotivates me from exploring. At the very list let us explore how we want instead of making only one or two ways to get everywhere.

I can agree that the HoT maps design are a little bit confusing to navigate, but after spending 2-3 hours with the new map i got the flow of it and with the new mastery its easier to navigate, wish it was possible to use new mastery in “old” HoT zones.

As for the story, i am happy as hell, because year ago i had this theory in my mind that the gods will meddle into fight with dragons, because they want to absorb their magic power. The question is, what for? What are they planning?

I enjoyed the map and the story, i think its the best LS release so far.

Story-wise, it’s a lot to take in. I feel like I have no idea what comes next (except I presume Aurene will factor in, as will Braham somehow) which makes me feel a little anxious about it, but Ep6 will be anticipated for sure.

The massed battle in the first instance was awesome. My healer druid really came into its own there.

Final instance – amazing visual design. Very appropriate for Primordus.

Just a random PuGgle.

Good points:

- nice map size, with varied biomes
- the vine grapple hook is the best thing ever (wish we had it in HOT maps)
- good map bosses this time
- new shoulder piece is really nice
- the world didn’t end

bad points

- map can be confusing to read with the 2d map system
- story was bit short and padded by long travel times (start was good, ending felt rushed)
- not a lot of new enemies
- didn’t like the flying fighting story bits, really annoying
- new legendary is obnoxiously large, the design is a 5/10

Let’s see… new map is just awesome, I really love exploring it searching for little caves with collectible items and how it easy to get everywhere if you know map little better and have mastery (without it moving around can be really annoying but still much easier than in Tangled Depths), some champs are challenging and really fun to fight with (legendary wyverns especially) and new mastery is really great, I would love to use it everywhere in both core Tyria and HoT maps. But it lacks something that would kept me there for longer like new skin set for weapons or armor – but that’s my problem with all new maps.
Map: 9/10

Story was ok. It had really god start and ending fights, but quest like “find item on spider” is not something that I don’t like to do (at least it drops really quickly). Can’t wait to see Asura reaction on totally not Taimis secret lab. Marjory and Kasmeer “we’re team” conversation seemed kinda pointless.
Story: 7/10

Outfits:
New outfits look great… but once again they’re just outfits.

Overall 8/10

Positives:
1. I like it!
2. The big wide open map where you can skirt around mobs you don’t want to engage.
2. I’m loving the new “Spidey” skill.

Negatives:
1. The episode was very short

2. There are loads of ledges and rocks where you are about 1 pixel away from being able to jump onto them. I guess this is connected with the new skill but it’s a bit irritating to keep “trial and erroring” along them until you find the way up.

3. The last fight is a bit annoying. It’s obvious what you have to do but the visual noise and busy busy graphics make it difficult to target things precisely enough so I kept running out of time. I ended up changing my targeting settings and turning the graphics right down to get it done. Probably not what the devs intended!

Map – interesting. Rewards – eh.

Mastery – fun! I hope this one reappears often!

Story -

  • Very short.
  • Elder dragons? Let’s prepare and we can do this. A god? Bring it! Apparently, the commander eats gods for breakfast. The reaction seemed really out of whack.
  • Speaking of reactions, I was really disappointed the only human reaction was Kasmeer’s.
  • I actually liked the realization that killing all the dragons would be bad for the environment. They always seemed to be a necessary cyclical evil so putting them to sleep is— while anti-climactic— a good thing, IMO.
  • Bad Logistics. The nature spirits are very clear: take care of the problem and leave. So, all these players have inundated this really important sacred garden, grabbing trees and flowers and killing stuff. It feels wrong and bad to stay. To do the right thing, I should go and not come back.

Other – Thank you for currency storage!
