What happened with the Ogre Pet Whistle?
Is it gone for ever, or just bugged?

I really miss it :-( It was a rangers wet dream! Extra pet, sweet :-)

Ogre Pet Whistle were not removed from the game:

Went to Gladefall Waypoint, town after bridge was destroyed.

Went to Grostogg’s Kraal Waypoint, the town was invaded by branded so we cleared the town. Gortho, Son of Malik (pet whistle vendor) was dead, in the town.

After the event, Gortho, Son of Malik went outside town with a yellow circle on its head, it started the escort quest. We escorted him to Gladefall Waypoint.

When we got there, event finished and he built the town, and became a vendor. He sold the ogre pet tonic.

A few minutes later, the town was attacked by flame legion – it was an event. We defended the town and won the event.

Gortho, Son of Malik was now selling ogre pet whistle

yeh sucks I bought like 20 of em,went back day after patch and they gone??? Do they think its unfair on rangers or something? bring em back!

I only my had my pet black bear for a short time, but we bonded. I miss you blacky

are you sure they are gone?

you need to do an escort mission to get the ogres to that place,
then he sells ogre pet potions,
you have to defend against flame legion then he sells ogre pet whistle,
it then gets destroyed by flame legion eventually and you have to escort them again etc.

If they are tuely gone… i know a alternative, you can buy a consumable after a event in the oily lake in southeast fireheart rise. The consumable, when used, creates a ‘Ember’ summon. The ember should be well known to anyone who fights flame legion much, they fly around and create a lot of fire fields, but do relativity little damage and are sorta frail. Still vary useful for certain skill points and with orrians.

larkrad, I wouldn’t spread that one since it’s less known.

if it becomes widepsread, they’ll nerf it too.

I just hope they leave the ash legion spy kit alone!

Don`t forget the bottle of harpies (not as fun as a true summon I guess)

This. If they touch this…I’m going to be so heartbroken.

Just get the rune of the ogre and when you are attacked you spawn a rock dog. theres other variations of this one too but those pets are nice.
