Or lack of. Sylvari dont always get attention, but when they do it is minimal and a bad guy.

We have fractals based on all races,even repeated ones, sylvari got none.

We have had Living Stories based on ALL races, some repeated, sylvari got none.

All races have loved characters, all we have is the hated Thahearme.

We have the potential to have one of the most beautiful follow up to a original story; Faloin and Kaithe after Twilight Arbor, we have the soundless (which most people dont even know they exist or what they are because we get absolutely no attention), we have the most beautiful elf/ent/avatar glowy original and newest races with the potential of making the game more “magical” yet all sylvaris have seen are the bad guy at the end of Southsun Cove and now Scarlet (which the voice acting is beautiful and smexy).

Please Anet, can we get some attention, some legit and for good’s sake attention? Perhaps a follow up, a living story, new characters?

We had a sylvari single handedly (with very little or no help from your main character) defeat Zhaitan. He is truly the hero of Tyria and famous.

I was rather disappointed about Trahearme, I feel like he is the Mary Sue of the game, and I feel cheated when in the end I was still 2nd in command and got no recognition other than a pad on the shoulder and a “good job, you will be remembered for 2 generations only, after that only the guy in command gets the fame, you will go down the drain of history”

see? this is what I dont like, I could say the same about Charr, just give them some catnis and some ball of threads, or give the norns some jackets to go with their flu, or give humans some man-up pills, yet their stories have been developed beyond that. Sylvaris? Salad jokes.

Except that The Sylvari are stupidly overpowered & central to the story… they may be Elder Dragon Minions, they are immune to corruption, they know things before they are born, are connected to the mists & use it to fight the Dragons, they Mother Tree can see the friggin future, lead the pact,, & now apparently can be more intelligent than anyone..

Norn? They have a fractal (which currently has 0 story), Brahm who’s barely Norn, Shaman’s who can enter the mists & no one cares, The most powerful guy in the game who knocked a Dragon tooth out & Norn woman make fun of him. sweet!

If you are a lore addict, and read Edge of Destiny(its an actual book) Caithe is a complete bad-kitten

also, at no point have I felt sadness in this game for an npc, with the exception of tybalt. I even knew he was going to die since I played a vigil character first, and still, tybalts writing had a 17 year old guy reduced to tears.

I do except to see more for the other races in the future living stories. They are starting to branch out some, and I say we give them time.

Honestly I would love to see some Charr festivities like Meatoberfest, or an actual Norn moot. Sylvari is a little harder, considering their ‘culture’ is so young. Considering the oldest ones are only 25 (26), that’s not really a lot of time to develop any significant traditions. The norn, asura, and charr however, are much older races and have been around long enough to do these things.

I would love to see 2 or even 3 LS arcs going on at the same time… Halloween and Meatoberfest for example. After all, Halloween is obviously a human holiday, and during that time period the Charr festival for their culture runs. Or something along those lines. However, I know something like this would never happen for one reason….the players would kitten about it. “I don’t have enough time to do one, let alone two!” And that’s really sad, because it would help to add depth and realism to the world.

Sylvari are a very young race and don’t have many notable events in their history (the only one that might qualify would be the experiments on Sylvari by Asura that created the Nightmare Court, and I’m not sure how you’d make a combat fractal out of that), so from that perspective it makes sense there’s no Sylvari fractal.

As for Living Story… there aren’t really any LS chapters based on Asura either. Asura often end up playing integral parts in the story, but it never revolves around them. Unless you count SAB, but that was more an activity than a “story”.

It was on a blog post somewhere, and on the wiki. Malomedies, one of the first born, was the first sylvari to get in contact with the asura, the inquest, so they captured him and experimented on him. Once the rest of the Asura realized that, and that he was truly aware and not a plant mimicking it, he was sent back with apologies and peace offerings, but by then he was very scarred and in bad condition (he recuperated it seems).

Cadeyrn, one of the second born, wanted revenge on the Asura, but the Pale Tree decided to make peace with the Asura since because of the real threat (the Dragons) they needed allies, not enemies. Cadeyrn didn’t accept it so he left to create the Nightmare Court, to make the Pale Tree listen to him even if she didn’t want to.
