Ok enough living story, time to get serious
Your so called negatives:
1. Some content is removed, not all. There is permanent additions.
2. A cohesive story would actually prevent players from jumping in at any time. I don’t feel that I missed anything by skipping the whole Aetherblades storyline.
3. I loved the wings and the molten gloves. You obviously are expecting way too much of such a small team.
4. Completely your opinion, I thought Southsun looked awesome.
5. Why would they release new races and classes through free updates? Those changes should be reserved for expansions.
Perhaps it’s time for you to just sit back and enjoy the content that you’re getting instead of demanding more. Anet will update their game as they see fit and you can either sit back and have fun or quit. Patronizing Anet like it’s a small child that needs to seek your approval is not the way to go about getting your suggestions noticed.

I enjoy the way they are updating the game. It’s something new every few weeks and not just a new raid or dungeon every couple months.
I really enjoy the Living Story because it keeps me coming back to play the game.
Negatives:
1. Content is removed, no permanent additions (Happened in the past we don’t know how content will be addressed in the future) NON ISSUE
2. Content lacks a cohesive story in order to allow people to jump in at any time (as per design so new players will not fill left out or lose) NON ISSUE
3. Rewards are rushed, undyeable, not varied between armor types, recycled skins, clipping issues. (tons of new armor, weapons skins and other rewards due tomorrow) NON ISSUE
4. New “maps” are rushed and subpar, lacking poi’s, WPs, vistas, SP’s and hearts. Maps are either removed after the event and if they do remain they are disjointed and not connected to other maps thus ending up ghost towns. (what the heck are you talking about. Only one new map was South Sun Cove)
5. No new races, classes, skills, instead we get lots of expensive RNG boxes to continue funding the game. (content like this should never be expected in the first year of ANY MMO) once again NON ISSUE
Are you even playing this game or just trying to start something. Your statements are not factual and full of wholes. Please research before you post are at least play the game.
I don’t remember my source but your number 5 is totally 100% false. One of the lead designers just said they were 100% fine with releasing new professions and races through living story. So yeah, don’t spread that lie

What’s the point of new skills if there is several skills not used due to being to weak to be replaced?

Sorry I don’t live on promises and hopes. They’d had 10 months to do it. What you see is what you get. I’m sure they’ll add giant rainbow unicorn mounts that give out buckets of gold in the future as well, but I am just dealing with that they actually deliver on.
The design “works” because they remove the content. If we had an expansion you wouldn’t need to design work arounds for “jumping in” because all the content would ALWAYS BE THERE, so new and old players alike could always experience everything the game has to offer.
tons of new armor and weapons… are any of those new armors dyeable? are any of those new armors varied between gender and species and class? are those armors free of clipping issues? The point is not quantity, we are getting plenty of quantity, the problem is that QUALITY is suffering. (the answer to all those questions is NO btw, and i’d be willing to bet all my gold that there will be clipping issues with it as well)
Exactly Southsun… the most deserted, least visited, unaccessible zone in the game… thank you for making my point. We will be getting another “zone” tomorrow, I will eat my hat if it contains anything other then about 2 WP’s and 3 poi’s (same as southsun).
Ok I do agree that in the first year of an MMO new races classes and skills are not a reasonable addition. But the point stands that they haven’t even announced anything like that yet. I suppose they could just release it one day, but every MMO i’ve ever seen makes a big deal about that sort of thing and hypes it up for 6-8 months in advance.
But yes it is clearly me that is uninformed.

I’m sure the devs have all sorts of hopes and aspirations. Maybe they will surprise us, but based on past experience with other MMO’s and GW1 it simply won’t happen, and if it does it will cost as much as a mini expansion from the gemstore anyway.

Let me show you another MMO
Star Wars: TOR Launched Dec 20 2011
Their first expansion launches April 14 2013
That is one year and 4 months. This is in line with 90% of the MMOs that have ever been release. To expect anything in the first year of an MMO is like really living in a fantasy world.
Anet has put these guys to shame. So your entire threat is; as was not only pointed out by me but others; totally nonfactual and inflammatory.

Please don’t bring up SWTOR as a defense for Guild Wars 2.. SWTOR was definitely considered a massive failure for all of its shortcomings.

It was an example of OTHER MMOs in general not really a comparison to GW2. Personally I think SWTOR bites as well

Okay how about Rift then. Came out in March 2011, and didn’t have an expansion till November 2012.
That’s a year and nine months by my count (and most people consider it to be the most successful MMO of recent years).
The negatives are too subjective, they aren’t even a negative for me. To add to your pro:
1. Awesome rewards [Wings, Pet, Gloves, New Skins, Back Items, Titles, Etc]
2. Awesome add-on [New Dungeons, SAB, etc]
3. New Characters [Brahm, Roxx, etc]
4. New Stuff to look forward to [Candies, Recipes, Cakes, Salvageables, etc]
I can list a few more Pros, but hey, you probably found my pro as “meh” i.e. subjective. So what I am saying is, to each his own. Unless Anet added gamebreaking things, anything new and free is always welcome to me.
