Artifacts?
I bet you left the thread to read the rest of the forum.
MSI GTX 1080 Sea Hawk EK X 2xSLI 2025 / 11016 MHz, liquid cooling custom loop.
Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB. HTC Vive.
You can bind a key to “Hide User Interface”, I used the “Insert” key, since it’s handy to the “PrintScreen” key.
And while you’re there, scroll back up and find “Walk”. More people should walk along with caravans and such.
No, no, no. I mean JPEG artifacts. They make the screenshots look TERRIBLE. I know how to hide the interface, also.

TL;DR: edit gw2 shortcut in your start menu and add parameter -bmp after gw2.exe. No more 15% quality jpeg

I usually walk with caravans as I find it to be more efficient than running forward every few seconds. Just need to remember to toggle back to default run when the reds attack.

THANK YOU!
Happy Wintersday!
I wish, though, I had known this, when I took the attached screenshot.

Is there a “-png” assignment? bmps are much larger, but pngs are about the same quality without the large hard drive space.

This, this this!
I’ve always wanted to know this. PNG is a far more preferred file format. At least for me.

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Command_line_arguments The ‘-bmp’ is listed but there doesn’t seem to be one for ‘-png’.
