Q:

Just a little quirky idea to make the previous legendary’s just as visual appealing as the new ones. Could i suggest Legendary’s like Sunrise , Twilight, Eternity , Quip , Juggernaut and maybe even the underwater Legendary’s have more visuals and arm effects. Me personally i think Eternity should probably have the most work redone to it; it’s two legendary’s combined together for crying out loud! And the best Anet could come up with is a sword that changes depending on the time of day? Don’t get me wrong it’s still a kitten Greatsword Legendary , and the game did come out like 4 years ago. But I think it’s time for a change. A good one at least. What do you guys think? This would most likely just be a small quality of life change.

I support this … IF the new legendaries also get long lasting footprints to match the old ones. My HOPE foot blotches last for two steps!

I can see wanting “equality” in items, but it’s not something I think they should (or will) ever change.

Gen 1 legendaries: look at the footfalls, they last 6 to 10 steps for some of them.

Gen 2 legendaries: example Nevermore, maximum 2 footfalls at any time. They go away so fast it’s almost like they aren’t there.

The weapons just have some variety to them. Gen 1 got better footfalls, gen 2 got better arm effects.

I don’t see why they would get them since Legendaries have full body Auras and persistent footfalls. So really they don’t need them

What kind of thing are you thinking of?

The only legendary I have is the Dreamer and that already makes your arms glow pink. I was under the impression all the other legendaries did something similar. I know the Incinerator gives you a fire effect up your arms and Frostfang covers them in ice but I’m not sure about the others.

Is that not enough? What would you add to it?

Bolt has full body electricity aura, predator full body red aura, idk what kudzu has never seen it really be used but every legendary has a an Aura effect or arm effect as is

Why not just implement it all ? Or even give the players a choice in the menu to turn it on and off? Cause i understand some people dont have good computers to even run all the glowy effects so allowing them to turn it on and off in the menu’s would also be ideal. Choices such as , the duration of the foot falls, arm effects and even if you can see them on other players.

I think they should leave things alone. Some of the legendary weapon changes have been necessary, others have piled on effects too much and in a couple of instances, to the detriment of the weapon entirely.

Constant tweaking and changing I’d rather not see personally – there is a point where you can go too far with it imo

Unless it’s the Dreamer, which was always so over the top that adding to it can only be a benefit.

(Although I wish they’d go back to the old, slower and lower pitched sounds. The new one sounds like a horse having a fit.)
