Referring to Emerald/Garnet/Sapphire Sanctum as called in the achievements tab. Corresponding to green/red/blue borderlands, all identical JPs on the north western side of the map. Now we got these desert borderlands, so did you really just screw new players out of 30 achievement points?

Back when they announced the new borderlands there was a bit that mentioned they will be alternating between the new and old borderlands, but I don’t remember what the schedule was supposed to be. Old WvW JPs (and level 80 centaurs) will be back eventually.

Yeah, I’m guessing we’re going to see the alpine borderlands just as often as we see SAB.

Personally I doubt we will see the old borderlands. Not as they were. I expect they are taking the time to revamp and remake them based on what they’ve learned and how people use the new maps.
