Old beta footage, CoF armor
This would be amazing, but I don’t expect much from ANet.

Actually, you’re expecting far too much. The flames of the armor retain their orangy-yellow look to keep them relatable to the Citadel of Flame. It was a design decision to make them better associate with the location they came from.
Be mindful that this is a game that designed by A.Net, played by the gamers. Not the other way around.

I get that, but alot comes from the players feedback, and since they had it in the beta it wouldn’t be hard to implement.
So the only reason i can see, is that CoF is all bout the flames. But does it really need to be ?
By having the flames set to yellow, it’s so hard to make a use out of all those 150-200+ dyes

Doesn’t matter imo, they’re making newly colored TA weapons. I know they’re making a new path along with it but still…..

Thank you admiral obvious, I figured that it was made by a company called ArenaNet and not the player base.
I suppose that’s fair because dredge armor can’t be recoloured either on the fiery sections, but it feels like they could’ve kept it to make the armor all the more pleasant as a whole. Little things like that go a long way.
This “artistic vision” bullcrap Anet pulls is really annoying, coming from an “artist”.
Let people look how they friggin want to look.

And that by listening to all stupid suggestions or otherwise spending time they don’t have on features, the game will be worse, population will dwindle, and there will be no one to support the game.
Yes, please. I’d love to use some of these pieces on my necromancer. We’ve got too much fire going on in the game as is and making this along with the Hellfire pieces dyeable would be a huge step forward.
Throw us a bone here, ANet. We’re seriously starved for more armor variety.

Apply to ANet and get hired, if you want to decide how some armors look.

A) You’re not a real a artist by any measure if you can’t accept critique from your audience.
B) These decisions are made by directors, who just as often as not have no personal artistic ability whatsoever. Just an overall ‘vision’, and usually a mediocre understanding of aesthetics. Among many companies you don’t have the qualifications to be an art director if you actually know how to make art.

+1 for the OP , that sweet armor is long gone , lol im amazed people still remember/got screens of the old beta footage good stuff , make it happen anet.
They took this away?! Bring it back now. Really, we already have certain armors dominating the scene, at least let us customize it more.
I remember them and I liked them a lot, it would be too cool to implement back those skins, but they’re from a relatively easy dungeon.
If grindanet removed them there was a reason, so if you believe that they will replace the current ones, in my opinion, you will be a sad panda :/

But its not another skin or anything, its just a part of the armor that you was able to dye, so i dont get it, they dont need to replace anything, just make it dyeable again.
I can’t find it, but i remember a screenshot in beta of a Asuran engi, with white armor and green glowing flames, it was so insanely cool. Like, Dr. Madness lol

Indeed, I don’t think is a technical problem, it’s just that it would be too cool, and the grind would be too short, that’s all

Oh ye, now i got your point, sorry for misunderstanding.
Well, i just want to make some noise about this. If we all show some interest in this topic, maybe we can even get a dev response. Because it seems like alot of ppl want it back, atleast the ones i’ve spoken with.
