Q:

It has been a while since these Wrecked Wintersday Ornaments were introduced after you completed the Xmas collection and after you got them, you started getting these items, don’t you thing perhaps you should put something else in it’s place, after all this collection was about 2 years ago and it’s simply a waste of inventory space.

They have the collection every year for those that haven’t done it yet (they had it last Wintersday) and it’s available to finish all year long as long as you unlock it during the festival. It’s not a complete waste. You get either 1 silver or 10 silver (the 10 silver is about every 10 chests) with each box.

Edit: this box was added in addition to the loot table, not in place of another item. One char dedicated to opening a chest will get around 60 silver a month from this item (from my observations). That’s not a lot, but it’s certainly not a waste of inventory space. If removed from the loot table there’s no guarantee they will add something else in its place.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

I like getting extra silver from the chests. The Mysterious Grubby Packages are easily converted.

So, no, I don’t think they should put anything else in its place, especially since, as the previous poster pointed out, not everyone has completed the collection (including players new to the game).
