Serious question

Has anyone made decent looking old/ wise looking characters? I’m used to seeing fresh faced players everywhere. I want to see ragged, war-torn characters.

1. Want to see Charr with excessive overgrown, droopy, scruffy furr/ hair.

2. Old mouldy, haunted looking Sylvari (yes I know the race is like 25-30 years old but still..) Edit: driftwood and bog dwelling-swampy looking Sylvari.

3. Asuras have some nice old faces so I’m not too fussed about them..would look weird with facial hair I think.

4. Norns are pretty decent for this, just wish there was more selection.

5. Humans…bahh..where do I begin? I only really have human female characters as they look less “freaky” to me. Human males all look like they wear foundation and are too groomed-looking in my opinion. Really wouldn’t mind some older looking, not-so-plastic(?) looking human male faces.

My Guardian, Orpheus Argonaut looked more so when he had a white beard, but he needed a colour balance, so he dyed it. He’s human btw.

edit added new ranger Oliver Rawhide. Not quite old and wise, but not so fresh faced either

I saw an old Norn yesterday, complete with long white hair and facial hair. It was the first time I ever noticed wrinkles on a Guild Wars face before. Looked really good, i was impressed.

However, it made me wonder about how he’s just NOW starting to get experience and learn skills at such an advanced age. What was he doing with his life up until now?

Captain Weyandt looks cool and in fact should have a legendary modeled after him.

The first looks vaguely oldish whereas the second looks like he could be at least forty. Dyes are golden lion, shadow abyss, and electro blue ^_^

it is much easier to make a guy look old that the women.
I totally would like to have more battle-worn faces for women, especially norn and charr ladies of course.
the humans, i think I’d actually would love to have a younger voice… i personally think the voiceacting sounds much too old for the young faces of the human PCs. I like her voice and it is cool for the setting, I just don’t think it fits the characters age and look.
that the German human woman sounds like she’s in her fifties (and she’s born 1962 according to wikipedia) and she’s speaking a character that looks like 14-18 years old. it’s just a weird.

perhaps he was a person that until now cared more about hunting and not saving the world.
or perhaps he was a singledad or Stay-at-home-dad that cared for farm and children while his spouse was on an adventure, like that Norn in Taigan Groves and now the kids are old enough to take care of themself, so daddie can focus on his own legend again.

@ all screenshot replies: They are all nice looking characters you’ve created and all butttt..they all look like 35 years old tops and come straight from a barbers armed with a thousand different grooming products.

@Agemnon: The guy in gold (awesome by the way) could be around 50years. Looks a little too groomed though for what I’m after though.

I want rough and beaten looking old/ wise/ not to be messed with(?) looking characters/ toons. (60s and over as a start point maybe?)
