On Farming

I have to ask, where is Donny and his friend? They would be right at home in this game in its current state.

A game centered around farming and boxing/botting. The farmers use complex (and some not so complex) macros to setup sites at many areas. They use Boxing and macro combined to try and hide the fact they are botting or farming, which is just as bad as botting and they reply when asked what they are doing, amusing stuff.

What do you Anet people think the Gamer of today likes to do? Farm? Grind? You would be correct if you answered yes to both with your line of thinking Anet. “WE” do not like to grind or farm if that message is not getting through to you Anet.

Who is in charge? Who make the choices to create an MMO that is based on Farming and grinding, not the irritating grind mind you but the mindless, stupid type of grinding.

I doubt any Anet employee takes the time tosee the map chat and requests for farm groups on all maps, you see anything wrong with that Anet?

There are all types of Gamers out there and the most voiceful on these forums ARE the farmers and boxers, the ones that attack threads like this and Anet happily panders to them. They want the status quo kept as is because they can afford to do so. No lives, and automated play equals great income. Not so for the rest of us.

But what if…and here is a mind blower Anet, there are folks, Gamers, that do not want to pander to your MMO playstyle? What if these people play games responsibly, use the vast majority of their time for real life pursuits and do not want to follow your “you will run this dungeon a hundred times” philosophy? We all know what the trolls and fanbois will say, not much to imagine there.

Now we can have the voiceful farmers, boxers, and botters all chime in on this thread defending you Anet, but we all know which demographic they serve from, one you target primarily.

You do alot of good but have so much to fix to address the rest of us in this game. What about the folks that run dungeons one time? That explore and look for lore? That spend quality time when we can? You folks provide a decent amount contentwise for that, but the rewards? Thats a laugh, you cater only to your farmers and bots/boxers using macros. You Anet people need to sit down and think about your current game mechanic, as you bleed folks off, as folks refuse to spend money on your precious gemstore. Of course by keeping your boxers and farmers you may just do fine.

When the farmers and botters can no longer make money and leave what are you going to do with a population that wont spend money on your gemstore because of the way you are doing things now, the regular gamers? This game just came out and you have the situation you do, in under two months, that must be a record somewhere.

I watch my own lane, however, it is hard to ignore the current game mechanic and choices made to date. The fanbois and trolls will no doubt type, “get rid of your life”, or “go find another game”, or “Learn to farm”.

I do not like your version of Farmville Anet. You people need to fix it.

My forum comment is as valid as the nex fanbois or troll, and from time to time i will leave what i feel is the current state of the game. Imagine what i would type if i did not like the game…….
