This is something that has bothered me for a long time but being relatively minor it has been coped with.

I have a full invisible bag for all the ascended weapons I use. Say for example I have a mainhand and offhand weapon equipped and swap it in the hero panel for a two handed weapon – one of the single handed weapons will be sent to the lowest available slot, usually in a junk bag.

Or the other way around – say the two single handed weapons are in the invisible bag and you swap a two handed weapon for them – it will leave one empty slot due to the two handed weapon only taking up one slot – which means junk or other rubbish usually fills it and then when you swap the two single handed weapons back one will be sent to the bottom as previously…

A solution could be to make two handed weapons take up two inventory slots – positives are fixing this problem and of course more money for Anet through players maybe needing more inventory space. Negatives obviously losing inventory space.

A second solution could be to have the option of flagging specific inventory slots for specific items (ie weapons) that can then not be filled by anything other than that item. Positives = more flexible. Negatives = still losing inventory space as above.

I personally would be willing to sacrifice a tiny bit of inventory space for two handed weapons taking up two inventory slots, which would make swapping in and out weapons a lot easier to manage.

Don’t let 2h weapons take even more inventory slots. There are already players who are short on inventory slots.
But what would be needed are bags/boxes that only fill with ascended equipment unless there is no other space in the inventory. Same thing for exotic might be also good because not all players run full asc.

Yes…I would like to be able to craft an EQUIPMENT PACK like we had in Guild Wars!

Not something that is only purchasable from the BLTP but a craftable bag that stores the weapons that are bound to that character and our account but not random loot weapons.

it sounds more like you just need more inventory space in general, or you need to salavge/deposit more often. However I would be all for flagging inventory spaces for specific items but i imagine that would be really hard for them to implement considering you could just add more space.

Ascended/legendary equipment bag FTW.

You can actually implement this one yourself.

If you have two one-handed weapons equipped and you equip a two-handed weapon they will go into the slot it was in and the one to the right of it, if it’s free. As long as the bag you keep your equipment in is at the bottom that space won’t fill until every other space in your inventory is full. (You could also use an Exotic Equipment Box which means only exotic or ascended drops will go in there, which are a lot rarer than other types of equipment).

The equipment bag in GW1 worked exactly like the Equipment Box in GW2 – you could put any weapons in it, not just ones that were bound to your character. (And armour didn’t drop in that game).

Only difference is because it was always the last bag in the list it would only get filled automatically if every other slot in your inventory was already full, which usually only happened if you were vanquishing and picked everything up, or farming solo.

A solution might be just to hit salvage and sends mats to bank more often. I salvage and send mats off periodically when I get to some sort of stopping point or pause and clean out the majority of my inventory. With the ‘salvage all’ it’s even easier.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

Maybe the solution would to leaving an empty slot that gets filled with something you don’t want to keep would be only making it act as an invisible bag if you drag it in. You drag an item from another bag to the safe/invisible one, assumers you want to keep it and acts as the invisible bag, doesn’t show up to be sold and immune to mass salvage. If it just goes in automatically because there is an empty slot could just treat it as not something you are planning to keep, maybe in mass salvage or when selling give an “are you sure this is in the invisible bag” but not giving it immunities if you don’t put it there yourself.
