This is just a suggestion to change your online status from online, busy, or afk. Something that displays above your head as well as displayed in the Guild Tab. The attachment is an example……

Running around with a tag over your head saying ‘invisible’ might be a bit of an oxymoron.

What purpose would it serve? Stranger don’t care and you can set yourself as busy, for friends or guildies.

There will be bug reports. Mark my words.

“I set myself as invisible and went into WvW and people from the other servers could still see me. FIX YOUR CRAP ANET!”

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

This.

OP: Your suggestion isn’t a solution to any problem.

For people I regularly interact with, I can check their status by adding them to my friends list and checking to see if they are set to online, away or offline/invisible.

If they’re not on my friends list or in my guild, I don’t need to see their status.

Moreover, if somebody set their self to AFK or Busy during an important group event, it’d be much easier to pick out such a person and attack them for it (we already see this at Vinewrath, even if people aren’t actually afk and are just selling/sorting through their bags).

The LFG tag next to their name is a far better idea, but still is redundant because you don’t know what the person is looking to do.

I think it’s a nice idea, being able to categorise everybody. But I also think it’s one more thing to worry about controlling in-game and in the current environment it lacks usefulness.
