I’ve played games all my life alot of that time was spent playing MMO’s but i haven’t seen a game where RNG was as weird as here.

Something definitely seems strange. At start when i started to play the game i was getting extremely rare stuff left and right, 30g exoric here, multiple rare 25-30g minis, heloween recipe worth 300g. I played randomly and the stuff just came flowing in like i was a magnet for good stuff.

I had over 300 gold a month after starting the game before i was even lvl 80, when a friend of mine who started on the same day as me had 15g. We both played the for the same amount of time and allways did stuff together. Luck has since turned and he’s now has more money than me. :p

One other thing. I do tons of stuff each day and salvage rares for ectos at the end of the day.

Some days i get so many ectos it’s unbeliavable and aonther day i get so few it’s depressing. it’s always … either tons of ectos or virtually none, as if your account was flagged for a whole days as either lucky or unlucky.

I’m having problems accepting that RNG is RNG in this game.

I play a lot. I do Tequatl almost every night and have for some time now. No mini. No ascended drop.

It just gets irritating. I am really starting to think that every account as some hidden number generated on its creation that affects the drops you get. /conspiracytheory

Said friend I spoke of earlier got another several precursors.. and Dawn and Dusk being two of those AND got them back to back. His luck is, well, insane.

Edit: happened to get a whisper from him whilst writing this post: two more precursors, so that’s 11, yes ELEVEN in one day. Yet other people throw 1000 weapons in the forge and get nothing.

Anet would never admit something is wrong with RNG or maybe DR. People would skin them alive.

The loot in this game is truely horrible. Even the most dedicated gambling addict would have given up on this by now. Throw us a bone already!

Remember when the only chests in a dungeon were the big ones? No champ bags ect. Idopen the chest and get two blues and a stale bun that had been in there who knows how long. When describing this games loot I tell them “two blues and a stale bun….that is gw2 loot”.

Not entirely true as recently I had four lvl 80 exotic berserker pieces drop in a couple day and final rest dropped three times in a row from SB. But still my overall impression will always be two blues and a stale bun.

Now to unroll my roll up the rim to win coffee cup…..I hate you Tim I hate you and your kitten slosh coffee in my car lids so much

This is far from the only game I’ve heard people saying isn’t properly random… but somehow, they never manage to provide any real statistical evidence to back up those claims – just anecdotes, which have a tendency to cherry-pick themselves.
