Many of us bought Celestial trinkets and armor as Magic Find sets.
Other Magic Find sets are being given the option to re-roll— however, Celestial is not. And contrary to what most of us assumed, no new stats are being added (boon duration, condition duration), and they are not being buffed to make up for the lost Magic Find stat.
I imagine Anet has reasons for not just buffing Celestial to make up for the loss. However, there is no good reason we shouldn’t be able to re-roll Celestial to a different stat combination, as Celestial is a powerful Magic Find option being substantially nerfed on September 3rd.

Boon duration or condition duration affect combat, where magic find does not. Adding those would be pretty overpowered.
Karma gain is the perfect replacement.

This is true, however Celestial is far from overpowered— or even powerful, as it is.

Except magic find had to be used in combat to get the loot, and in other sets that worked as both a bonus and a drawback (lesser stats for better loots). Here the item gives a bit of everything (thus no specialization) but they were balanced about having all those stats. And since they were introduced first along with southsun – the first exotic celestial accessory came with the ancient karka event – they couldn’t have been balanced with the magic find removal in mind.
Thus, despite what you may say, they’re nerfing them.
And karma gain wouldn’t have the same usefulness as magic find, beside not having even the same indirect role in combat situations that magic find had. Would still be a nerf.

Not really. You basically gain every stat, but at much smaller amounts that pretty much total to how much you’d get if there were three concentrated stats as there normally old be.
I to be honest would advise against building Celestial Armor in most circumstances, unless you’re playing a cash mule at best. However even still, unless they +1’thw rest of the stat bonus, celestial Armor does become weaker than normal Armor.
5% condi and 5% boon duration would be great. Then it would become all stats. I wouldn’t mind a bit less.
Yeah, boon or condition duration should replace it. Probably only 1 or 2% for each piece, so it doesn’t get too overpowered. At 2%, it would be boon/condition duration +22% (6 armor, 5 other ones).

Actually, based on Giver’s Armor, we’d only be able to get 0.5% boon duration per piece, if anything.
One thing I thought of was for Anet to divide it up.
1% boon duration on chest, helm, legs (the ones that have more stats by default and the slots that are preferred for Power-based builds).
1% condition duration on gloves, hands, shoulders.
Weapons can get 1% of each.
People got celestial because they felt having all stats was beneficial in some way. They didn’t do it for the MF. If they wanted MF then they would’ve gone for MF specific gear.

The magic find armor set had as much magic find as a magic find set, while also including beneficial stats.
Its main role was as a magic find set.
I really want Anet to let us re-roll celestial armor because it takes about a month to make the armor and now your going to remove MF gear and have the rune of the traveler be better than celestial armor “Rune of the Traveler will grant all stats, condition damage, boon duration and movement speed.” this is not right also it will be better than rune of divinity. they should boost the stats on celestial and divinity or re-roll to make it fair.

People who honestly believe this are complete tools. I know you don’t actually believe this, so I’m not calling you a tool, but can you believe there are people stupid enough out there to actually think that Celestial is OP in any way? LOL!

The MF on Celestial is equal to MF gear like Explorer’s, so if they wanted MF, Celestial was clearly the superior choice.
That aside people got Celestial for the sum of its parts, including the MF bonus. If it didn’t have it, you can be sure a large population of the people who went for it never would have. Stop making kittenumptions.
