I would like to see an option that could deactivate the visualization of others back items.
Most of them are horrid and completely ruin imersion for me. Not sure if it anyone share this problem. Please comment.

All kinds of stupid wings and mechanical stupiditys even snake things coming from the back of others really ruins it for me.

It is Fashion Wars 2, other players being able to disable our fashion choices would just discourage us from playing!

This suggestion always appears within a day of a gemstore back-piece being sold, it seems.

I can understand it- suddenly there’s a massive influx of unnecessarily huge or loud back-pieces (which I am a supporter of, mostly).

Because it’s new and shiny (and fun to show off your recent purchases) you can’t turn without seeing somebody using them.

I can understand your concern now, but it’ll only be a week or two when the wings lose their novelty and fewer people have them equipped.

As for the other large/obvious backpieces (spinal blades, holographic/shatterer wings, tequatl wings), they don’t seem all that popular- none of them are more popular than the latest feather-wing epidemic. I can understand being irritated by them if I was in a large zerg and there were multiple people wearing them; they all flap or sway in some kind of way, and it could bother me if they were out of sync or filling my screen.

As for the “ruining immersion” statement, most people are going to sweep this idea to the side, I’m afraid. Fancy backpacks aren’t high on the list of “unrealistic” things for most. There are plenty of items in-game that aren’t conducive to an immersed experience.

Some may argue that backpieces could be incredibly immersive: A lot of the backpieces have strong ties with story or lore- whether it be for showing respect for a god (Dwayna/Grenth/Lyssa/Balthazar), wearing your research/creation (Mawdrey) or appearing as a Lich (feathered wings). I even think that the Spinal Blades backpiece had a connection to LS1- did you not have to wear one in order to be able to join in the fight with Scarlet?
