Is it hard to implement?
Will you use it? How often?

Drag your weapons into your invisible inventory bag – so you dont sell them by mistake – and your “problem” is done.

Extra fact: In GW1 people could not see their weapons while in towns and this was corrected through GW2. I think we will not see your suggestion implemented.

Hmm, interesting suggestion,
a checkbox beside the equipment to do it, could work.
(Kinda like the checkbox for hiding shoulderpads, etc)

I’m sorta the opposite, though,
I want an option (checkbox, whatever), to see all the weapons equipped,
on my character at the same time.
Like a character that uses a bow and sword/etc, I want to see both weapon sets equipped visually on my character’s body,
but I could see how that could have clipping issues or something, though

I would VERY much love to see this option.

There are precious few weapon skins I’m fond of, (I prefer understated weapons) and most of the weapons are ridiculously oversized. …Seriously. When my Norn wears a sword on her hip, the pommel practically hits her armpit.
I know it’s a fantasy game, and things are a little over the top, but that’s just silly.

As I don’t expect to see a slider to change the scale of your weapons any time this decade, an option to at least hide them out of combat would be nice.

if we do this then people might want a special set of non combat clothes to wear too

how crazy would that be?
