Thats right..

there is another way for Anet to make money… Instead of sucking the life and fun out of the game for people who like to farm.

they can make new exciting armours and weapons and such for people to craft or purchase with Karma / Gold / Gems.

They can make new Dungeons where people need to pay in GEMS only to get in. One time only or large Lump sum ..

ArenaNet, you do not have to make life difficult for your player base anymore, keep the rewards high, people like that sort of thing.. just find a different way to get GEM purchases, instead of evil manipulation.. nobody’s being fooled.

….Dungeons are content I would not like to see become “premium” content. I do not want to see a “VIP” classification pop up amongst the player-base. I would consider that getting brand-new content, outside of a full expansion, that you want me to pay an entrance fee to, is kind of exactly what I’d call “evil manipulation.”

TL;DR: Neutral on everything, “kitten” that noise on your dungeon idea. Axing that thing here and now.

Who am I to bridle if I’m forced to be an idol?
If they say that I’m a God, THAT’S WHAT I AM!

How is it any different than seeing “You must have the XXX expansion in order to enter this dungeon.” message?

In the age of digital distribution, content expansion packs are a thing of the past.

I would like to see Arena Net release a new dungeon or zone, and ask that you buy an “Access Key” from the Gem Store if you want to play it; however, I would agree that any gem store content should be optional, and not be directly related to the main storyline.

Also, any rewards obtained through gem store content, should not give those who buy the content any advantages over other players who did not buy it.

just my two copper.

it really isn’t that hard to operate a successful cash shop. just look at league of legends. i have friends that have spent over two thousand Australian dollars on that game. I’ve even spent over two hundred dollars on it. every single one of my friends have spent at LEAST over one hundred dollars. and the purchases are purely boosts and cosmetic.
