Order armors need exotic-tier stats.
You do realise you can get PVT armour from Orrian temples, right?
Also, PVT is trash unless you’re doing WvW so it’s not a problem if you can’t make it.

Just transmute them… yeah.
And no, transmutation stones don’t cost “real money”, you can get them with gold too, and you even get them for free in game from story, exploration and achievements.
A PvX guild for mature players with a life.
I would say ‘just transmute’ but you already mentioned it!
I view these skins as just skins and not armor sets. It’s no different than the cultural armors.
I could see Anet using opportunities like these to make money (and they should). If anet made these items exotic quality then you’d have fewer people using those stones.
I agree that the game doesn’t have all the right stat sets. Heck, even PVT gear is in game but you have to craft it with very limited inscriptions.
If you truly are desperate for PVT gear, you can buy the Sentinel Orichalcum Inscriptions for 20g a piece :P
I have 6 pieces in my bank waiting to sell when people are desperate enough to pay 25-30g a piece :P
I should also note that you can get some pieces from Balthazar Temple.

Bad understanding of PVT here from a couple of posters.
Firstly, you can only get 5 of 6 pieces of PVT stat armour from Orrian temples. The sixth piece currently has to be acquired through WvW.
Secondly, Sentinel stats are NOT the same, being V/p/t, instead of P/v/t, where the capitalised stat is the primary stat.
But again, the main reason Order sets aren’t exotic?
Same as the Cultural gear.
ArenaNet want you buying Fine Transmutation Crystals from the gemstore.
While they’re making money from it, this will never change.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
Yep, it’s designed so people buy trans stones.
You can get 5 P/v/t stats from karma, but it’s untrue the last piece “has to be acquired through WvW”. Many dungeon sets have these stats; Ascalon/Hotw, are the easiest two that come to mind.
Ah, sorry, forgot dungeon armour as I try to stay as far away as possible from them.
I stand corrected

er… I have a full set of heavy PVT temple armor… You just have to get it from two temple.
You get a piece of PVT from Balthazar, Lyssa, Dwayna, Melandru, Grenth and Arah. If your server doesn’t have them open you can guest to another.
Like people above have said, order armours and t3 cultural are meant to be transmuted, just convert some gold to gems and get however many you need.

No, you don’t. Check again.
Edit: As proof, check the following table for all sets available from temple vendors.

For heavy armour, the helmet has to be acquired through other means.
For medium and light, it’s leggings.
