Guild Wars 2

At Winter’s day we are supposed to get a letter called “Orphan Laine’s Letter” which gives “star of gratitude” as a reward. Now i had this letter sent to me and I thought it was useless because I just started playing Guild Wars 2 , so i kept the letter until winter’s day was over and somebody told me i cant do this event anymore so i just destroyed the letter. Now I regret this decision so much because other people said that I can actually do the event even if winter’s day is over.

So I just want to ask can i do the event now ? and if so is there a way to get the letter again , i would appreciate it if the staff can resend the letter.

Hi there Calabit, this indeed is the wrong forum for this thread but I’ll help you out anyway. Upon checking a few things, I came across this tidbit on the wiki:

“You can still finish the scavenger hunt and feed Grawnk the delicacies after Wintersday 2014 ended. When you go to your home instance, Grawnk and the orphan will still show up. Talk to Grawnk and he will tell you where Sous-Chef Seimur Oxbone is and you can still find him, although his icon won’t show up on the map like it did during Wintersday. After feeding him three times, you will still get the collection unlock item and you can then go do the jumping puzzles to get the ornaments. Once done, you will receive credit for the achievement and get your home instance node and the Orphan’s Generous Gift.”

It doesn’t explicitly mention that you need the letter to get the Wintersday rewards, so how about today when you log in, go to your home instance and see if you can start a dialogue with Grawnk.
