Orr, Bots and Bleh
Meh, you could join the mob of people running around the same waypoint, wait for the event, and farm things that spawn and hope you get credit for your kill (as an elementalist it’s especially bad since our skills have a charge time =( )
As for teleporting I’ve seen this guy teleport from mob to mob in the gorge to level 80 trolls, imps, and elementals. Thought something strange was up.
Just what the forums need, another bot post.
When it’s your forum you may choose the content.
your post was to long so i didn’t want to read it but i will says this you can never get rid of bots and if there are bots in orr i say good because orr sucks **** they will actually be helping lol dont get me wrong i hate bots
If I don’t enjoy something I find another something—worked for many years.
Orr is made up of three zones, some of which are worse than others.
Cursed shore is by far the easiest to traverse on Borlis pass because all it ends up being is 4 perma camped events with the occasional Grenth/King/Arah defense fights tossed in for a change of scenery. You can literally go between all 4 events with maybe two risen attacking you. All other events are dead zones thus mob density is higher.
I barely go to Grenth anymore because the chest just isn’t worth it for the frustration of usually losing grenth 2 times before it is finally won.
The botters are abound, thankfully if your skilled and the right class you can train them and leave them to die. Sucks when people rez them though. ANet NEEDS to fix the botters though, because they are ALWAYS in the same places so it shouldn’t be hard to put a system to auto suspend accts based on that.

I haven’t seen this many botters since the f2p MMO’s. It’s really sad to see but at the same time I know there’s a real person behind it feeding a family.
Orr is a chore.
Like you said, way too many mobs everywhere and each one of them seems to have a pull or a stun, which made me really angry several times already while leveling there.

What? you mean chinese RMT thieves, fraudsters, mobsters ?
Lots and lots of hate for Orr. Most of it seems to stem from Risen and their poor design.
I’ll throw my 2 cents in with my hate for Orr. Can’t stand the place. It’s the most annoying, un-fun, un-interesting end game zone I’ve ever seen in an MMO. And for one reason: Risen.
They are too fast, respawns too quick, and too many of them. It’s a stale mate, constantly here. They can’t kill me, I can’t kill them (respawns). So neither gives till I am ready to punch a kitten/puppy/baby and kite them away. /train
If lore was the focus on why these things are all over; then why are Norn, Sylvari, Charr and Asuran player characters all wearing human armor at the start? Lore breaking. So lets break the lore here on Orr and at least make it entertaining?
While I think ore has very little in the way of gaps to avoid mobs, I really enjoy the place.
Minus the botters.

The bots are out of control. They teleport around, doing 5x the damage of a normal player. You can’t even compete with them at this point.
They have ruined every DE in Orr they are camping at.
I know they like to ban in waves. But, they are ruining the game.
Can’t we just station the bots at the edges of Orr map (and other key spots, away from our DEs), so they can help cull the overabundance of Risen =)
GMs use your special GM portal skills and zap the bots in the corners of the map for us.
Isn’t there a way we can report characters that are bots so that they are suspended/banned? I know in other games I could do things like /report BotName to report them.
You can indeed report them by targeting them and right-clicking their portrait. There’s probably a /report function as well. You can also right-click a player’s name in the chat window if they say something.
ArenaNet has asked that all bots be reported, they are working on getting rid of them.
If you hate Orr, play in a different zone.
CampingBot in ORR or in any map that have chain event maybe sovle, If every event reward depent on our Level not event Level.
That will make us want to go explorer entire of this large world not only being in same place because they reward us well than other map (because Lv. event).
come to think is it not good?
run around the world, surprise with event that we never know before, get reward depent on our level
just my opinion
sorry for my english, i learn english from play a game and watch movie
i try my best to communicate with you guys
Maybe do it for the fun? Not getting max reward all the time doesn’t really matter if you are enjoying yourself. If someone hates Orr, but loves other zones…who cares if you get rewards a little slower? Go where the fun is.
I really don’t know where the topic is headed. Is it towards GW2 Botters? or Orr area hatred? If its the hatred, count me in.
When I first entered the area, there was no way point discovered. Thus I had to fight around 5 risen to get to a small entry point near Lone Post way point near the beach. Even with my level 80 thief, there was no way I could’ve killed them all alone since I was all alone in the entire section. I finally entered a civilized section with other players in it, by which time I’ve died around six times with the closest way point all the way across Fort Trinity.
The above is like taking candy from a baby when compared to the Cursed Shore section. It was a pure nightmare to even walk on the road. Each time, I would get pulled, crippled and a lot more to an entire bunch of risen. Plus, the risen has a movement speed of an athlete on crack. Plus, the density of the mobs along with the respawn time is pure hell. On top of all this, the lag is purely unbearable.
All I’ve done in the entire three maps of Orr is to find a way point to Arah to do it at some later point. After which I just left the entire place for good. I’ve just one friend whom I play with and there is no way in hell that I’m stepping foot in the Orr area without him.

It’s both Orr’s “design” and the botters which continue to persist in that area day after day with no action taken. It screws up events – I see them as two issues but intertwined. Take the botters away and then you can get some events done but it doesn’t still deal with the fact that Orr is not for the “casual gamer” like GW 2 was advertised to.
