Thought I’d make a happy post.

Thanks for the changes to orr, with regard to mob density, drop rates, etc. I actually LIKE going out there to farm now.

Short and sweet. There you have it. Its a fun zone to be in. Although, only a few DE’s are worth the time…thats the next improvement, but good step in the right direction.

Karma is as abundant as air, and as useless as the Kardashians.

Definitely some great changes, I like the statue and density changes the most, though I still really wish they would add higher scaling on the DEs.

I HATED the Orr maps with a passion when I took my first character thru them. It’s been a whole lot of years since I was that frustrated and ticked off. My loathing for them was so bad I hadn’t been back until these new changes came around.

Night and day difference! Yes it’s still tough and if you’re not paying attention it’s easy to get swarmed, but with a little thought and planning wandering around isn’t bad at all. Dragging my newest 80 around the area has been almost, dare I say it…fun.

For all the negative things that get batted around here, these changes to the Orr maps have been outstanding to me at least and changed my mind. I finally have a reason to roam around and bash the Risen.

Is it just me, or did they update the models on many of the Risen. It seems like they look and even walk differently. If this is true, then great job. If they always looked like this, well, maybe my eyesight improved?

Many of them are too big now. They used to look like if they really were humans turned into risen form, now every of them is like 2,5 meters tall, which isn’t so realistic as it was before. Also the abominations became oversized, so now it’s like you kill 5-10 meters tall hulk with no more effort than half-meter grubs. I’d say now it’s rather funny.

Was going to create similar thread, but found this. Thank you ArenaNet for this change. <3

I am leveling my third toon now and first time I have had really fun time in Orr. I had fun even when I was feared and pulled 2 more risens that I didn’t want to pull. Event wasn’t faceroll easy, I was downed couple of times, but rallied. Earlier 4 mobs was certain death and I just had to wait the death to be able to use waypoint.

Now I was able to move around mobs, look good position to attack, create clones, dodge around, shatter like mad while leaving ranged phantasm into safe cleaned places, etc. It was still challenging but not frustrating. Fun!

Once again, thank you.

@Aderon, you could think they they are enchanted by Zhaitan an dgot bigger frame for that. And undead abominations are undead minions of Zhaitan that are sewn together from multiple corpses. Of-course they break easily, it is rotten flesh stitched together. XD

That’s true for the regular abominations. However, this provided me a false sense of confidence that lead me to challenge a veteran abomination somewhere near Josifats camps that seemed nearly as tough as one of those giants. Therfore, I consider the too weak abominations a dirty trick meant to lure me to my doom by means of greed for an easy loot drop…

All Abominations have Frenzy, If you don’t kill them quickly, their attack speed and damage goes up … a lot. Vets of course take longer to kill…

So much better than it was before. I can go there and not spend an eternity killing excess mobs, getting pulled around, and struggling to find a place to afk just to go grab something in the next room without dying or wasting silver going to a major city.
Also thank you for making some of the mobs larger, now I can see them better and more easily differentiate them from others humanoid mobs.
