Anybody know why we cannot change something on an outfit? I believe this would be a great thing to add. For example, I enjoy the slayer skin they have for sale, despise the helmet though, but would like to show the helmet I am currently using alongside the outfit. From what I’ve read when they used to do this there were some clipping issues or something when people mixed heavy armor with light armor or something of the sort, but now I see characters with the top hats with heavy armor or other costume gear with light armor and doesn’t seem to effect it so I’m guessing the clipping is fixed. Just a suggestion I would really enjoy seeing that implemented to show off some more unique characters, one of the best things about an MMO is how awesome your character looks in my opinion.

Nothing is fixed, those top hats and others are armor skins, not costumes.
Costumes were, are and will for a long time still be an easy, lazy solution for pumping out sell-able looks with much, much less work and testing required than for full armour sets.

And even then they still manage to have those clip…

Don’t buy costumes. They are silly. Problem solved. Armor looks way better anyway. Nothing looks more silly than a charr warrior/any heavy in a tophat and a scarf.

The top hat and scarf are both armor pieces.
