Completely agree on the need of more ‘battle mage’ like armor, somewhat in style with the bladed skins (for Charr at least, not sure how it looks on other races).

Heavy armour (ideally shoulders) with black or dyable feathers on them for my Raven themed norn revenant. (I know there’s the Deathly Avian shoulders, but that’s more a skull with a few feathers stuck to it.)

Male light and medium armour that shows some skin. Nothing skimpy, but bare arms, lower legs or parts of the chest and back would be nice. At the moment it’s difficult to have more than part of 1 arm showing and with norn tattoos, sylvari bioluminescence and charr fur patterns to show off that’s frustrating.

And generally more variety all around. Such as more medium armour with short tops and plain trousers for light armour. I get that the ‘skirt’ on a lot of the trousers connects with the top to form a long tunic, but it would be nice to have some options without that effect.

Anything famous from GW1 to be honest. There are many great armor sets they could pick and chose from.

I want some kittenING PANTS for female light armor. COME ON. There’s literally only 1 choice for plain old pants on a female (no extra miniskirts or w/e), and it still has a butt window. I WANT PANTS.

simple designs, fitted to the body shape, chest showing, short sleeves, short open jackets, tight pants, cool and sexy at the same time.

Something that actually looks good on my charr because 99,9% of armors and outfits are designed to look good on human characters and almost every time 0 effort goes towards charr especially headgear.

I want a bikini made of animal skins & furr and teeth and bones, and some gladiator sandals and an antler headpiece, and some jewelry to match.

Preferably the elite editions, see gw1, I can see usage of the basic version as well, though the dye channels were particularly bad in gw1

Yea I know all about gw1 armor I have almost every kind of armor in that game and I still play sometimes too. Gw1 armor was WAY better. All the armor in gw2 is just too bulky and poofy, and butt-capey, and trench coaty, and VERY concealing. Gw1 armor rocks.

This, I want this, I’d pay 3,000 gems for this outfit and weapon set. So gorgeous.

The Ranger’s Elite Druid would be welcomed along with the Elite Cabal for Necros GAME ON

Armors with nice looking butt-cape/ bustles but no more coats. There is a different anet.

Bare the arms, take off the “armor” studding, ditch the gloves, turn the shoes into flip flops or other cute beach non-heeled footwear, and I’ll agree.

As in, that is a very nice swimsuit idea, I even like the sheer hip veil (if ANet graphics can do see-through), but I can’t see it as part of this game’s aesthetic for anything but swimsuits. (I agree with it as an outfit. Not for 3K gems).

And I do want swimsuits. One wonders just why ANet hasn’t opened the gold mine of swimsuit outfits given the deep yearning for them expressed since Southsun Cove first opened.

A head piece that complements how kitten Nightfury skin is.

Something more lava, earthy or like ‘demonic’ for lack of a better term. Would also like to see heavier looking light gear.

i want short shorts for my big Norn necro. Currently, he doesn’t wear pants, because THAT’S THE OPTION YOU LEFT HIM WITH.

On a serious note, the basic armor skins really do nothing for my dress-up itch. As Rhyse mentions above, there are SO FEW non-butt-cape pants. There’s this great wardrobe system that uses micro-pay transmutation charges (which i’ve gladly paid for) AND THEN THERE’S NO VARIETY IN THE CLOTHING.

You know what? Forget the shorts! How about breaking up outfits so they can be mixed/matched with armor? SO MANY times i see an outfit and think, “that’s a nice helmet” or “i wish i could pair that with zodiac pants” but NOPE. $10 for an outfit, no mix and match. So instead of me buying most of the outfits and burning T-charges, i buy only the perfect outfits while my T-charges pile up.

Sure, i’m merely complaining without knowing the developer’s difference between outfits and armor skins. Surely it has to do with human/system/financial resource limitations, but that doesn’t excuse the utterly lackluster variety of armor skins if they really wanted T-charges to be a microtransaction.

TL;DR: Outfits are meh. Armor skins need variety.

That’s T3 Human Heavy armor. It just looks a little different as it’s likely based on original concept art.

We have the White Mantle, we need the old school Shining Blade. Not Kurzick Mesmer Armour, and not that one mixed set only heavies can get, proper Shining Blade gear.

But zodiac armor aren’t outfits and can be mixed and matched….so you can wear zodiac pants with something else.

Light: Usually robes and dresses, or pants-like skins tend to be weird.
Medium: Occasionally some nice pants options. …covered up by trench coats.
Heavy: Metal skirts/kilts. Everywhere. Actual pants options are rare, and then they don’t work with most other armor pieces because of odd embellishments or gloss that doesn’t match dye channels.

It’s like ANet has something against legs. :\

Anet please, these outfits were cool in Gw1.
It would be neat to see some Gw1 armours return to though, they had some interesting looks.

I wouldn’t mind to be able to transmute any type of armour to another type. Like, my character wears medium armour, but for some more transmutation charges I could make it look light light armour.
Also, more town-looking outfits. Like monks, cooks, etc., they look much cooler then most fancy armours… at least, more real.

There’s roughly 17 tonics that could be outfits, pretty easily, since the assets are already there, and they were previously town clothes.

I don’t think I’ll buy any further outfits unless I finally can save the dyeing per outfit; I like to switch between them often and environment based, re-applying dyes each time isn’t exactly fun. (Yep, pet project, srysry)

We had a jester set of town clothes that you used to be able to preview until peopel learned it made Norn naked in the preview window and Anet disabled it entirely lol.

Something I always wanted is a paladin type full plate armor. So all plate and chainmail with no spikes and a nice trim you can dye.
