Outfits and Headpieces
Hmm..what about the dye channels? Would the headpiece be dyed using its own dye channels, or the outfit’s dye channels? Can said dye channels be mixed and matched?
Maybe that’s why one cannot display a different headpiece with an outfit…no idea.
Like I always say: Hats must come back .
Think of every combination we are losing. Too many to number. Way too many.
I stopped buying outfits altogether. Every new one I get is just more combinations that I will be never be able to make.
Hats must come back, and ‘standalone’ head skins like grenth’s hood, glasses, royal masks and fuzzy hats should be added to the hat category in the wardrobe, allowing us to make all 4 possible combinations:
- Hat + outfit
- Helmet + armor
- Hat + armor
- Helmet + outfit.
Just like we could in the original Guild Wars. And it was awesome. Made getting every single outfit and hat worth it.
I would think that if the helm was separate then it would have its own separate dye square. It can still be one piece but part of it have a section that’s toggleable for visibility. Sort of like different sections on one outfit can be dyed separately even though it’s all one piece.
ANet may give it to you.
But, those different sections/channels of the Outfit dye panel affect the headpiece. When you place dyes in the Outfit dye panel, the armor dye channels grey out. You can only use one or the other. This may be why there isn’t any mixing-and-matching of armor and outfits. /shrug
