Hey there, Forum Folk!

ArenaNet has two upcoming events:

• A panel at PAX West called “Go Behind the Sound of Video Games with ArenaNet”
• The official Guild Wars 2 Fifth Anniversary Party

You can get details about both of these events in this blog post.

Forum members: How would you like to be added to the VIP List for our party?

If you will be in Seattle on September 1st and would like to attend the party, post below and send me a Private Message. Send me:

• Your first and last name
• The first and last name of a guest — if you are not bringing a guest, please tell me that
• Your contact e-mail address for verification.

If you’re writing for tickets on behalf of a guild, please PM with:

• The guild name
• The first and last names of guild members who would like to be a guest at our party.
• Your contact e-mail address for verification.

I will respond with a Private Message on the forums. I will not e-mail a response.

Important Notes:

• Please request a VIP guest list spot only if you are able to and plan to attend the party. Sure, it’s fun to “win” things, but if you take a spot and then don’t attend, another fan is not able to get in and that makes us a sad choya.
• You do not need a PAX pass to attend the GW2 Fifth Anniversary party. (A PAX Pass is required to attend the afternoon sound panel.)
• A minor may attend if they are accompanied by an adult.
• All confirmations will be sent via PM — I will not be e-mailing a confirmation. I plan to respond via PM to confirm all VIPs on or before August 28th.
• Guests will be randomly selected from those who request a VIP spot. Of course, if you happen to write a fervent love letter to Guild Wars 2, pen a haiku about your devotion to the game, or in some way share your love of all things Guild Wars and ArenaNet, we sure won’t mind! (Note: This is not required, it’s just for fun. )

Q: Can Non-VIPs Attend the Party?

A: If you don’t make the VIP list, don’t worry, you still may be able to get into the party! Stop on by and we’ll see if we can get you in, too!

Just a couple of housekeeping notes:

• Please do not submit more than one request. Submit for yourself and a +1, but don’t have your +1 submit for themselves and you! That more than doubles my work, and it does not increase your chances of getting on the VIP list. In fact, if you do that, your request may be ~ahem~ accidentally deleted… which would be unfortunate, but these technical issues do occasionally arise.
• Please be sure to include a contact e-mail address, for verification purposes. If we have two people signing in as Marcus Leonardo Graciamos de Choya, we want to have a fallback plan for identification.

Hey guys,

I just took a peek at my Private Message box, and yes, it’s pretty busy there, but it’s great that so many of you have indicated you’d like to attend the Guild Wars 2 Fifth Anniversary Party!

It’s not too late to request a possible spot on the VIP list, so go ahead and let me know you’d like to get on the list if you will be in Seattle on September 1st, and if you will be sure to attend if you land a spot. And say, if you haven’t had a response to a recent request yet, don’t despair! I decided to tackle that bursting PM box on Monday rather than on the weekend.

I’ll be getting back to as many of you as possible over the next day, and will be accepting requests until Monday morning, August 27th. This gives me Monday to review the last requests and get back to everyone and it gives you time to plan to attend the party! Fancy dress is not required… although I do so love cosplayers and those who sport GW2 gear!
