As it’s being brought up in like 8 different threads without anyone actually reading the solution, to disable the sepia colour filter people are complaining about, simply disable post processing in your in-game graphics options.

This will have the side effect of removing effects like the green tint from necro deathshroud, but hey

Resident smug Englishman on the NA servers, just because.

Except, the arms perpetually up is what’s really turned me off of playing the game today. The 10 minutes I spent in game were broken up as follows: 2 minutes dive bombing off of Dry Dock, 3 minutes wandering around DR and 5 minutes being annoyed by the whole thing while I went to my home instance to harvest my nodes and logging into my cloth armorer to make my damask for my ascended light armor.

I understand it’s april fools, but an entire day like this is taking it too far. There’s pranks, and then there’s excessive pranks. The former are generally amusing, the latter are distasteful. Anet’s April Fools tend to fall withing the latter unfortunately. Maybe someday they’ll have them set to timers so those who are there to play can suffer the 10-20 minutes of the joke then go about business as usual. That or a way to turn it off once it starts giving you a headache or disrupts the flow of playing too much.

I bought the game last night. Played for 15 minutes before work to check out character creation only to find it unplayable when I got home.

Thanks for the tip, I only spent and hour troubleshooting the software on my computer because the new game was bugged…. This is just obnoxious.

I definitely agree with the distasteful comment, I find it rather invasive and bothersome and have logged out for the day. Not really ideal from Anet to implement something like this.

I get that it’s April fools, but this was funny for about 15 seconds and now I want to disable it but can’t.

It’s April Fool’s. Pulling a ‘prank’ on the community is a long-standing tradition for Guild Wars (1 &2). I’m sorry you aren’t enjoying it. Wait it out; things will be back to ‘normal’ for Tyria tomorrow (after reset).

Its the sound that bothers me, like an am radio inside a metal barn. Sound is important to me, my ears popped as soon as the effect began.

The sephia desent bother me, or the silly hat. The crucifixion pose is a pretty dodgy.

unfun. /logout.

It’s not a crucifixion pose, that would be palms-forward. This is palms-down, accompanied by airplane sounds and an aviator cap. Most definitely not a crucifixion pose.

I’m with you man. It was fun for about 30seconds. I won’t be playing until this stupid event is over.
