PSA: You can hide people's character models
Changing the character model limit helps more than changing the quality when it comes to big events, I find.
Did people really not already know this?
EGVA SuperNOVA B2 750W | 16 GB DDR3 1600 | Acer XG270HU | Win 10×64
MX Brown Quickfire XT | Commander Shaussman [AGNY]- Fort Aspenwood
I must be playing this game wrong because for me, half the fun is checking out other people’s characters.

The side effect, at least for me, is that the character model limit replaces people by name tags. And the name tags themselves are ugly :P From a purely practical point of view, that is probably superior, you’re right. But from an aesthetic point of view, I prefer reducing character model quality – the placeholders are not badly done textures, they just all look the same.

I also have name tags turned off, which also helps a lot.

Interesting! I’ll have to try that some day.
