Not sure if anyone else realized this, but you know those pesky teleport bots that show up at a harvesting node then instantly jump around the map? saw one the other day glitched at a wp, (pet kept showing up but his name would spaz in and out)
Anyway, click the P button to bring up the party and then add their name there, then you can right click their portrait and report normally. They don’t have to accept the invite and you don’t have to catch them in the act with a screenshot since it’s next to impossible to catch them with a screenshot if you aren’t actually waiting for them, anet can then go back and check the logs.
Had a couple message me after accusing me of botting myself “You report me I report you” sort of deal.
Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?
Or you could add them to your friend list, since they won’t be notified, and report them from there. You can then proceed to give them names and numbers and after a few patches to see if they’re still online and if Anet is really doing their job at banning bots.

You do realize that when you add someone to your contact list they show up under their follower list, right? so it doesn’t make much of a difference whether the group invite pops up or you show up under their followers list, they’re going to know either way.

How have you been reporting? Is using the bug report the correct way to go?
So far its been a bit of a challenge to catch their names since some wobble hard (spaz in/out as you call it), glitch into the resource node or even appear upside down.
I’d like for Anet to make it such that the name/portrait stays on my screen for traditional reporting despite the bot teleporting away but not sure if this will cause any gameplay issues. Either way, I hope they provide an easier way for us to report the blink bots.
Arsenic Touch, thanks for these useful tips. With them, we hope players will have an easier time reporting teleport bots so we can deal with them lately.
You have to be quick about it, but I click on them, then right click their name and hit report.. If I don’t get to this point in time they disappear cleanly. If I get to this point, the report window will stay up and I can report them for botting easy enough.
Stood by a node this morning in Frostgorge Sound for 15 minutes and reported 6. Missed a few others though. They were bad this morning.
