PVT not viable for tagging mobs?
? You can get the loot even if you hit the mob once. However, medal from dynamic event requires you to kill at least 3 mobs or something like that..
So I’ve noticed and correct me if I’m wrong but in bigger scaled Events where you have a lot of mobs attacking a Camp, if you go Soldier’s or anything else you’d get a lot less drops then if you wore Berserker’s? Is this correct?
I think if the Tagging System isn’t adjusted a bit, nothing other then Berserker’s will ever be viable in PvE, because basically we’re forced to do highest DPS to fill the criteria for our drops, or the other 20 Berserker’s will take our spot in the “DPS ladder” and we end up empty handed.
I don’t think Berserker’s is the problem, as the not-being-able-to-wear-anything-else if you want drops.
If you are fighting in small groups, this is not an issue. PvT would be better because of survivability.
But when you are fighting in a zerg, berserker gear will end up pushing you past the loot threshold to get credit.
But the above point doesn’t really become a factor anyway, considering there are other factors that influence your ability to get loot, such as party/grouping and DR.
I personally run zerker gear not only to ensure I do superior damage to get loot credit, but to kill mobs faster enough to spawn more waves, resulting in more loot.

yeah well the zerg usually melts down every mob no matter what gear (unless it’s an Elite or a Champion and those usually 1shot you if scaled) .
I also run Berserker’s most of the times, but at some days I wish I’d run a Cleric’s and still get drops as I do when I’m a Berserker but that isn’t happening. Funny thing, same goes for WvW and Loot/WXp, if you focus on supporting though well-placed combo fields, like Water and stuff like that while the zerklings pow-pow the aggressors you won’t get credit for your help, as you have to do enuogh-damage-to-fill-the-loot-criteria (and it isn’t just 1 hit). And even though you want to help your team, you still want to be rewarded equally for your role in the whole setup. And I think this is the problem
As long as I’m in a party, I have never noticed an issue

Funny you mention that – I feel the exact same way with my Guardian in WvW trains.
The commanders always call out for blasts, and I really want to pull out the hammer. But when you are in combat, that removes some valuable seconds of tagging with staff, resulting in less loot.
I’m really selfish in WvW ;[

Heh aren’t we all, but we should be able to be rewarded even if we do 1 hit though. That way people won’t be so torn between reward vs help.

Going even further, loot at support/heal builds. I loved playing my staff ele in WvW. But if I want any chance at look I need to be in fire and only sometimes switching, instead of staying in water for the aoe heals.
Soldier is fine, you’ll still do enough dmg cuz of the power. I feel like if you hit something for 600+ dmg you will get loot. Now in a 51+ player zerg like doing a temple run on blackgate you might not get loot from a vet/champ/elite. o.o

Yup that’s exactly what I’m talking about
Ahhhh now I wish they made changes to How loot tagging works in PvE/WvW after this twitch :’(

Please continue to not listen to the pins, that simply means you become my loot.
