When I first saw the mastery line “Pact Commander” I actually thought OMG they finally let us EARN the commander tag by doing the masteries instead of swapping gold in the tradepost or buying the tag for RL money.

But instead everyone who made level 80 gets a mentor tag for free . Where is the pact commander tag???

Why dont you lets us EARN the pact commander tag for 8 additional mastery points after you finished ALL Tyria masteries?

People would riot within a minute if they they did that, the tag cost 100/300 gold, besides, the mentor tag is just a joke, it’s not meant to be taken seriously

Why not upgrade the existing commanders tags if they obtained both with new abilties? Anet could make a combined tag worth more. A bought commander tag is actually worth the same as a mentor tag. It just proves that you obtained gold in some way. A new player can buy it for RL money.

There are definitley ways to make the new pact commander work and obtaining additional 8 mastery points after you finished all Tyria masteries is actually not that easy.

Many masteries are utterly crap and feels like fillers. A pact commander tag and title would be something useful at least.

I agree with this 100%.

Tags are a major gold sink, it’s part of their economic design. We need these gold sinks, inflation is a serious problem in MMOs.

Thats not the point. The gold sink wouldnt go away if the pact commander title and tag would supplement the commander tag. You still need the commander tag if you want to have the whole experience.

But I agree that the fractals doesnt have to do with pact commanders.
