The first light armor crafted set has some nice pants.

But yeah pants are rare

There are a few options as it is( at least for male characters), but we definitely need more.

As of right now, not taking cultural armour into concideration, there is:
1. Ascalonian.
2. Profane.
3. Embroided.
4. Student – to a certain extent.

But in the next patch we will be able to use town clothes, so the pirate costume will also become available.
The cook costume is also pretty good, in fact it changes completely depending on your race.

I want long skirt that doesn’t allow fast access under my knickers. What up with those masquarde leggins?

Pants can be sexy and coverage doesn’t have to look like a quilt.

I’m always for more pantalons.

It may not be to everyone’s tastes, but I’ve decked my mesmer out in Orr Temple/karma armour, and yes it’s a coat, even over the crotch area (fie! for shame), but definitely trousers are involved there. I’ve accentuated the trouser with probably the manliest matching boot available for scholarly types in the game (cabalist). It looks decent on the twig (pic attached for reference, with light dye to show the pants more clearly).

But for ladies? Dear me, but even the first craftable trousers appear to be missing bits at the top (they don’t on the gents), and there’s really not a whole lot else going on.

Skirts are the way to go……

YES x 1000. Females do not need a giant head bow and a skirt with a butt bow and ruffles to adventure. More pants, PLEASE.

Naus has it spot on with the current female light options, of which one could argue have their issues, and as for males the only ones I find don’t make me look like a eunuch are Apprentice/Acolyte and Gem store Phoenix leggings. Both are pants and skirt but at least they have more shape than the pure pants options of Ascalonian or Embroided. We need more pants, chaps and candied apples.

I’d love to see more sets like the original Mesmer’s outfits. Especially the Dilettante, and Rogue.

…Jumpin Jehosaphat… I’d eat tacks, to have a back the original Rogue outfit.

Best looking female armor ANet ever put out. Makes me sad to see all the frippery on light leg armor in GW2.

Skirts and Trenchcoats suck, need shirts and pants for everyone.

Need to have more style options that cross over different armor classes. Medium armor should have some skirts; light armor should have some pants.
And for goodness sake, cut it out with the “mullet” skirts! (Long in the back, short in the front.) They’re nice but we have plenty of them.

Also, sleeveless please. I want tats to show.

Really enough skirts? The only set I have seen is gladiators for heavies and a few for lights. I can’t find any for medium. The others are pants plus skirts.

It’s been 19 months and how many threads have we seen about butt capes and trench coats? To me it’s clear by now at least on this subject Anet doesn’t want our opinion, when they do they’ll ask for it. There’s nothing wrong about keeping your hopes up one day a dev will show up on a thread like this. In a pig’s eye.

I vote for more pants. Not skirt and pants combination just pants.

Whats the bet they add them but find a way to make the hideously girly anyway?

The problem with trousers is, basically one design fits it all. And they’re hidden beneath buttcapes.
They’re just boring. With flowing dresses and skirts atleast the designers can get creative.

Less tents ehrm… coats for medium… half of my character gets hidden under it (Charr)…. and the only thing I can choose from are male outfits/armour – even if I have 75% female characters…
