Word cannot describe the horror of what happened in Paris, again.

This is not the usual type of post for this forum, but then again, this is not a usual event. I’m sure everyone has heard of the terrible attacks in France. My hopes and prayers are with the victims. I hope that all the people of Aurora Glade, all the players that usually attend our events, and just everyone is safe. Our thoughts are with you.

I know that a lot of French players attend our community events regularly, and so I pray to Grenth that you are all safe, and that we’ll see you again at Wintersday.

My apologies, I am usually better with words. But in light of such a tragedy, what can you really say?

I have sympathy for the French people, but this does not belong on the forums.

Do you guys know why you shouldn’t post this kinda threads on gaming forums? I read above lol, I know you mean well and all but it’s just not relevant here.

My sincere condolences to everyone who was a victim of those terrible attacks, as well as to all the families, friends, neighbours etc. who might have lost someone they loved/liked/knew.

I just posted something similar. (I couldnt find this one!) And maybe it will be deleted, but I think as a community and family (Id hope) that we could make sure they know we are thinking of them. Ill probably get yelled at by people too. Ah well.

Maybe this isnt the right place, but I just wanted to say if you are from France or have family there, I hope you are all alright. And I am very sorry this has happened to you. I dont have very many comforting words, because words cant fix this, but know that I and millions of others are thinking of you.

I’m sorry but this is not the place to talk about terrorism as this is “Guild Wars 2 Discussion.” However, I feel for those 80+ people killed last night due to religious ideology. God Bless those families and France.

I hope all of our players in France are safe and well, and I wish the best for anyone with friends/family over there. Love to everyone.

As a gw2 player who lives in the suburbs from Paris and though I appreciate your support Op, your thread is clearly out of line for this forum.
IMHO, these forums are way too much public to speak about a tragic event that is not related to playing this game. if you wanna talk about it, I think the best is to keep it private or guildwise
The best you can do is using symbols to show your support.

Also, as you can see, the American Eagle stands by France Just thought Id be creative since I have real friends and gamer friends from France. May god and Lyssa watch over them! <3

i am sorry for what is happening to Paris even though i have some words to say, i rather not because it will upset others. Anyway, i do agree this doesn’t belong on the forums but i don’t see why anet cant show any support for Paris when they did it for gays when marriage was legal here. they twitted ‘love wins’ with a gay couple but they cant tweet or acknowledge something for Paris? really sucks to be honest.

People are so thin skinned these days I see nothing wrong with this post here as this is a community that come together to discuss their likes and dislikes yes this is gw2 but tons of other topics are discussed that do not deal with the game and while some of you may feel it does not belong here a lot feel it does.

Your not forced to read it you can easily just move on….but nothing wrong with showing sympathy for another human and if you think that is wrong then you need to rethink how you view situations like this in life.

In the GAME, I have on France colors to show support. So I screen shot it and shared it on the GW2 forums. Nothing wrong with that as it has all the things to do with the game. some of you need to rethink your discussions and learn to stop hating regardless.

And 1 final thing, ANet does a fine job as is without getting into other peoples business. It is up to their discretion to whom they do what, when, how, when, where and why. Drop the subjects, enjoy the thread, spread the word for the Love of France. This is not the thread for that!

Though a lot of people die of starvation and such everyday and I don’t see any dedication thread to them by any players. I sense some double standards but do not wish to start any political discussion about. It’s just a reminder.
But then I also can understand why this forum may not be the place for this kind of topics.

Keep in mind that this thread was opened by someone, who felt for her french community members, that attended her events and so on.
Iths right that things like this happen every day all over the world and many people starve.
But those people usually dont play online games, so the OP doesnt have a personal connection to them.
