Just read the patch notes today. I actually saw that one of the changelogs are disabling the “Join in” button in party.

The “Join in…” option in the party member contextual menu is no longer displayed on party members playing in a different region.

Is there any reason behind this change? I think i kinda miss something. So how am I going to join party mates on different server but on the same map? Like for example, I got disconnected during a tequatl combat at sparkfly fen. Does that mean, if its full theres no chance for me to go back in? Well, whoever replace me is one lucky player, which in my opinion is a little unfair.

Different region = EU and NA

I believe that “a different region” means EU and NA. My guess is that there’ve been a lot of lag issues because of people communicating with geographically “wrong” servers.

I read it to mean actual regions such as NA/EU. So if I’m partied up with a friend from NA I can’t click “join in…” with them and vice versa.

I was LFG-ing in Fireheart Rise earlier and I wasnt able to see the Join in Fireheart Rise button. I guess its just coincidence for me to join their party. Anyway, thanks guys for the clarification.

I took ‘regions’ to mean different in-game map regions. i.e. not being to join on (taxi on) a player in Spark Fly if you were in LA.

You were never able to taxi players across EU/NA.

I think the change is just to avoid confusion.

You never were able to play together with people in different regions. If you’re on an NA server you can’t ever be in the same map as people on an EU server. But because the option was there players expected to be able to use it and got confused when it didn’t work. (There were periodically posts here from people either asking why it didn’t work or reporting it as a bug.)

Now that the option doesn’t appear it should make this clearer. But nothing has actually changed.
