Passing of the guard
Until they introduced the Fractal of the Mists and vertical progression with Ascended gear. It’s more like a Fractured community now and no longer revolutionary as it’s copying WoW. Dynamic event zones are ghost towns thanks to everyone being in LA spamming LFG FoTM lvl 10 to 32! Speed runs and experienced players only!!! Way to go!
That review is from September 18th, so it’s actually 2 months old, 3 weeks after release of the game, when everyone believed the game was great. A lot of people’s opinions have changed since then. Right now, 3 months after release, GW2 is making the same history SWTOR did.

Which is kinda funny, because the major things pointed out in the review (cooperative play, dynamic events, lack of holy trinity, beauty of the world, ease or reaching lvl 80, how fun PvP/WvW is) haven’t changed.
Yeah, GW2 will go down in history as the game that could of been different.
I still feel it is a return to pre-WoW MMOs but I also have to point out this article was made in sept.
Still like this game more then anything else available at this time
That’s what Eurogamer.net said about GW2 in their recent review:
“In fact, Guild Wars 2 is by far the most important – and plain enjoyable – massively multiplayer game since 2004’s World of Warcraft. At long last, it’s the changing of the guard.”

Yeah it was possible at the time but lets face it. After numerous unresolved issues and with Anets admittance of things that should have been at launch (which has lead to the new belief that they rushed it out of development before it was ready) but wasn’t this game now has claimed the title of “The Game That Should Have Been”

hmm lets see cooperative as long as you are level 30 fractals know what you are doing and meet gear requirements we are cooperative, dynamic event well if you can play like you are 10/20 people in a empty zone they might still be fun might be able to open a temple to buy exotics, lack of holy trinity well have to say that hasnt changed yet but i have seen posters missing their healing role, beauty of the world well we have all been to orr enough said, ease of reaching lvl 80 yes and what now there is nothing to do, pvp the maps are stale, wvw culling issues that havent been fixed for months …. yea i guess we still have all of them

It’s just the generic blabla you read about almost every MMO shortly after it is released.
Occam Pi (Ele), Acaena Elongata (Warrior), Finja Salversdotir (Ranger),
Bytestream (Engineer), Vim Whitespace (Thief)

Well put. As soon as I saw the ascended gear I was like “seriously?”. Now you can’t find people doing anything except fractals. The rest of the world is literally dead.
