Yeah… you don’t push an update just for that. You include it in a further update since it has no effect whatsoever.
They’re just hiding the patch notes, as usual.
Cause: Shady updates
Effect: Players got angry.
Let’s release another update that’s shady and see if results vary this time!

This always amazes me.
Either ANet doesn’t know what’s in each patch (I…have a really hard time believing this, but it’s possible), or they know and don’t care enough to tell us.
Why should they care?
1) If someone is impacted by a bug and it gets fixed, they need to know that whatever it was works.
2) There is absolutely no harm in telling people what exploits are no longer working, since they can’t happen any more.
3) If something is changed, people need to know so they can be careful with that until it’s confirmed working (this caused by ANet’s QA failures in the past).
4) Last but not least, it’s just plain polite to tell people when you rearrange the basic rules of their (virtual) existences.
Yet somehow patch notes are never communicated clearly, don’t come out when the patch comes out, and are sometimes so vague as to be useless. This is not how a professional studio communicates with customers.

Just guessing but chances are I’m right. Clearly they don’t want us to know about it, w/e it is and every other farm nerf has been ninja so…

How come they don’t have patch notes like other games? In game message said something about a new build, whatever that means

Already mentioned earlier in the thread, “bugs and exploits” doesn’t explain much.

I will probably be shot for this reply, but anyway guys.
It’s Christmas Eve/Christmas Day you just finished working your butt off fixing/nerfing bugs/exploits because thats what your boss told you to do.
Would you then sit around and write out a full patch note, or would you go home to your family ?

Besides, they have done this in a recent patch with a nearly verbatim sentence, which is more of a shortcut to the actual patch notes. And that wasn’t on Christmas. And it didn’t have more details to follow the next day. A thread asking for details got ignored. No dice, Nibiru.
