Looks like you’ll need to kill about ~750 champs per weapon lol

Hope you like zerg training.

The Transmutation Splitter is now available in the Consumable category for 300 gems each, 5 for 1350 gems, or 25 for 6000 gems.

Is my math off, or are they really charging $75 for a stack of 25 consumables?

Sounds about right. They are charging $400 for some of the weapon skins, so this is like a steal.

Why would anyone purchaes gems with money when gold is free?

When scientists discover the center of the universe,
a lot of people will be disappointed they are not it.

Gold isn’t free. Like money, gold requires time and effort to acquire. Some people earn money at a far greater pace than they earn gold. Or some might simply wish to support ArenaNet through the purchase of gems. Different strokes for different folks.

My post was in response to gripes about how much “money” something costs. When in fact it doesn’t have to cost a penny. It’s misleading to say that ANet charges people X amount of $$. That’s all.

Yep, because of the exchange rate, using gold for gems is crazy given the rate. The cost of gems in $ is fixed and probably a better perceived value than using gold. I have decided to quit purchasing gems though until they announce the removal of vertical progression from the game—really don’t want to, essentially, pay them in order to ride a treadmill.

I dunno. I’ve opened 10 Champion Bags and I’ve already got just over half of the Bloodstone Dust, if these requirements are correct. They seem to be a guaranteed drop as well.

Another change that doesn’t seem documented is that salvaging Greens doesn’t initiate a popup (thanks for this, btw!)

interesting. Guess they made them easy to get… Odd since they said they replace karma drops and those were 1 every 10 bags or so.

I’m gunna say they missed a 0 and they will be nerfed shortly.

Guys.. I opened ~100 bags and I got NO piles of bloodstone dust.
Patch notes say that they replaced drips of liquid karma.. but I got none of them. What the kitten happened?

Were those exotic, champion loot bags? Cause i’ve received some stacks from opening around 100 of those.

  • All existing crafting recipes that produced items with Explorer’s stats now produce Assassin’s stats (Precision, Power, Critical Damage).
  • All existing crafting recipes that produced items with Pillager’s stats now produce Hunter’s stats (Precision, Power).

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Item_Nomenclature

Assassin and Hunter item name pointless;
Assassin->Precision, Power, Critical Damage=Berserker
Hunter->Precision, Power=Strong

Somthing else, a point of concern i have is that the TP price for blue and green weapons/armor may increase alot. Considering how many players will salvage green and blue items from now on (for Essence of Luck).
For leveling characters, with low gold, this can become kitten.

Yes, half of them were exotic, while the rest had other rarities too.
