How many MB/GB do we have to download this time? i got a slow connection

Well it’s downloading now, ~ 8,800 files
I’m getting 1MB/sec
The % seems to be % of files not their total size, so no real
way to tell how long even if the connection stays up.

Lol, it said the same thing for me. So I just left it and after a minute it started downloading. No idea what was wrong with it…

Really no idea? How many patch days have you been through! This happens about every highly anticipated patch… This is what happens with a million + people hit a server at the same time and ask for 500mb of data.

Im just getting a connection error, idk y im wasting my time with this patch anyway, its a total fail for pvp

8776 files, no idea of the size…doesn’t say. All we can do is wait. Go make a cup of coffee or something. Sitting there watching the progress bar will drive you round the bend.

Doesn’t work like that, its based on files downloaded, not every file is the same size.

And when the server can’t handle it. It all goes Down.

In last patchees also the login server where in big trouble for some hours.

Yeah, I’m having issues connecting myself. On the bright side though, I like what I’m seeing from the patch notes!

I have to say when it’s downloading it’s downloading really fast.
It’s a pity that’s only 5% of the time.

Good guy Mark takes his time to let people know how big the patch is.

500mb? I’m at 830MB downloaded already and rising.

What gives.

Well I’m at 338MB downloaded, 71% complete and have 2622 files left, so the 500mb figure sounds right from this vantage point.

i’m at 89%, 1000 files left, 600MB

600mb and still going so is not 500mb

I’m at 638MB, 80%, 1700 files (of the original 8000+) to go.
So dunno where the 500MB came from either…
Some of us obviously need more fixing

The patch is about 500MB, but with everybody trying to download at once, you might see connection errors for a little while.

downloaded ~640MB before patch completed.

Not that it’s a massive difference just pointing it out for the curious few

100% downloaded @ 580MB here

580+ MBs is the total I downloaded.

100% = 615MB in my case.

100% finished 564mb here

560 MBs for me. Took a while to get an actual connection.

I have 510MB at 83%…maybe regional differences?

Regarding the differing download sizes, I’d imagine the downloaded is error checking and re-downloading if it doesn’t have a good copy of the file.

With all the connection errors floating around, it would be unsurprising if pieces of files were discarded when the connection was interrupted. You see this a lot with torrent downloads, the download is broken into a series of blocks which are individually checked for errors, and blocks can be downloaded, checked, and downloaded again multiple times before it gets a good copy if the connection is bad.
